it is curious why matonis didn't have a better security scheme for his accounts. I use two factor authentication for all my critical accounts. I also use a yubikey for financial accounts. Most of my passwords are generated by a CSPRNG and are autofilled from a master account protected by a very secure passphrase. I can't imagine this kid would have the skill, time or patience to find a good attack vector. What really upsets me is he threaten my girlfriend's accounts, which are just a facebook page alongside an email she uses to communicate with her uncle who runs a mission in the philippines. That's pretty low even by scriptkiddy standards.
He's really not that smart. Targeting a DARPA contractor is just fucking stupid. Even if you do pull off a hack, then you get the FBI pitching a tent up your ass.
