I'm not sure this is going to work, the main reason people will play this game won't be having fun but earning money not exactly the viewers someone who advertising his product wants.Look at google adsense for example they banned all the faucets cause they consider their traffic poor, you need a better idea if you want to succed.

People with jobs with buy Nvidia GTX 1080 and play Battlefield 1 in 4k while enjoying
themselves this Christmas season.
People without jobs will continue to click on faucets and hope to muster up enough coins to buy some Steam game on discount.
The question is why the fuck should I waste my precious time clicking away on some stupid faucet -type Bitcoin game to earn some dust when I could work 1 hour and then buy whatever game I desire with the cash and don't bother with ads-infested shitty low-budget abominations of games?

So while you work at your shitty 9 to 5 job like a rat in a wheel, some people come up with creativity ideas to spread Bitcoin adoption.  Roll Eyes ... Not everyone have a high paying job and they cannot

afford to play expensive games. The advertisement can also turn into a competition between companies to see who can fund the biggest and toughest mothership that would last the longest, and this

could turn into a huge pool that may end up in people receiving sizable income from this.... even enough to fund these expensive games you are bragging about. The target market for this kind of

game will not be the rich executives with the huge salaries, but rather the kids and younger generation who survives on pocket money every month or the unemployed millions out there who would

benefit from any kind of income, and who would be just glad for a opportunity to get a income. They will spend more time fighting these aliens... than the rich brats who want a easy ride.  Wink
1. There is currently no way to successfully detect bots 100% of the time.
2. The thing is that if you offer money, that will give a incentive got people to make good undetectable bots.
3. I doubt the game will pay out much. Remember that bitcoin version of agar.io?

Ask yourself what games always top app charts? People actually spend real money  building up imaginary worlds and they get a thrill out of  conquering other players imaginary setups. People get addicted to the reward aspects and these games and large corporations know this and hire the terminator to pitch it. Great concept!

Exactly, so we can change the concept a little then and have PvP configurations built into the game, where the players can take on their competition for the reward. If they fight each other for a big

prize pool, it would make it more fun. I just want to see some massive MOB being taken down... but it should not be easy. I am a StarCraft player and I love the small arcade games built into the

main game. You can have smaller games with different waves of attacks.... One wave could be ground and the other Air battles.  Huh

I was thinking, how can you create a Bitcoin game where you can offer something that would attract loads of players and also offer something for advertisers. The advertisers are looking for something,

where sites gets repeat visitors that stays for long periods. I also want players to play for FREE but there must also be something for highbie players with money. {upgrades} This game must have a

option where MANY people have the opportunity to gain some monetary reward for their time spend in the game. The game should also attract new people to Bitcoin.

So this will be the idea :

The game is based on a Independence Day scenario, where the earth is invaded by a massive Alien invasion. The main goal will be to take down the mothership, but you will also have to fight off the

alien fighters flying around in space ships and infantry soldiers fighting on the ground. The mothership will be funded by a Advertiser. {The screen will have a small banner at the bottom, that would

display the company sponsoring the mothership} The more they pay for the banner, the more difficult it would be to take it down, so they will have more views over a longer period.

You will not be able to use bots or fake accounts, because automated bots will be killed by the incoming Alien soldiers and fighters.

The reward for the players playing for FREE would be that they will be paid {from the funds allocated for the mothership} for the soldiers and fighters they kill. They can take the money or they can

buy bigger and better guns and ammo. The players with money can buy these bigger and better guns and that income can be distributed to pay for the hosting fees and some profit for the owner and

also to fund some of the rewards for the FREE players. { A fancy faucet system }

Once the Mothership is destroyed, the pool of money paid for the Advertisement is divided between the players who participated in killing the mothership and how much they contributed.

We can have 1000's of people fighting against a massive mothership, that takes weeks to be destroyed. The difficulty can also be adjusted, if the player base gets too big, or the upgrades makes it

too easy.

How does that sound? You can tell all your friends to join in to kill the massive mothership invading earth and they can earn money while they are doing it.  Grin Grin Grin

It's not a bad idea, and I think you might want to flesh out the idea more if you want to see this go somewhere and you're serious about it, but I think that the issues with an idea like this were summed up quite well by Wendigo;

The question is why the fuck should I waste my precious time clicking away on some stupid faucet -type Bitcoin game to earn some dust when I could work 1 hour and then buy whatever game I desire with the cash and don't bother with ads-infested shitty low-budget abominations of games?

There probably isn't going to be a massive budget for this game and chances are it is going to be relatively low quality, likely similar to a mobile game, and thus there isn't much reason for people to play it. Only the poorest users will likely look at this seriously, and I personally wouldn't be that interested.

Well if the community see potential in the idea, they can always crowd source the funding and pitch in to make a success of this. This is after all something that would help with Bitcoin adoption and

the more people using it, would be beneficial for everyone. A individual attempt will only result in a inferior game that nobody would play. I do not see many projects these days, where the adoption

angle is taken... Everyone complains about faucets, but nobody is doing something to make something better than faucets.  Roll Eyes

I think it is a incredible idea and someone should look into this. I would prefer a browser based arcade style game and also a Android version for the mobile phones. It should also work with cheaper phones to enable everyone to participate in playing this game.

This can even be bigger than this PokemonGo game, if it gets proper funding and good game developers. Just stay away from 1st person shooter versions of this and make it simple and easy to play.

OP, you have got something here, and it might just be the Killer App people are talking about. ^smile^

The game doesn't sound bad with the description that you have given us, but it probably won't take off.

Plus, as most Bitcoin games tend to be disguised as faucets, I don't think that many people would want to play this game.

If I were you, I wouldn't go ahead with the idea of creating the game.  Wink

I personally don't love the idea you have but I don't see why people
are saying it couldn't work.

Look at some of these moron games like pokemon go and angry birds and
other garbage that works and gets super popular. You just have to get lucky
and catch lightning in a bottle.

The target market will be less wealthy people.... Wallmart target the same demographic and they reasonably successful the last time I looked.  Roll Eyes The only difference here, is I do not want to

take money from them, I would much rather have them work for it. Poor people buy bread and milk too, and there are a lot more of them than the small percentage of people that are wealthy.

We should focus on micro payments and reward systems for now, and build from there.... You can make this regional... Have a mothership for a specific area or country to attract regional viewers

for the advertisers. { In some Alien movies, we have seen MANY motherships over major cities .... for example ... War of the worlds } Think BIG .... Let's say Overstock sponsors for example 10 x

new Xbox consoles for the Top 10 Alien killers and Coinbase pay for the mothership.... The people will definitely want to participate in winning these prizes and sharing the mother load of Bitcoins.

..... I just supply the idea... someone else can run with this.  Wink

With your thread I got the idea that 8ball pool should have to adopt bitcoin for paying their users, there the players earn points and that points are convertible to coins, I want that those coins are replaced by bitcoin, with that there will be a huge load to their site, if they do not do like that, then among us have to create something like that.
that is a cool idea too, but there are some things to consider.
how are they earning money now? how much traffic can they handle? are there any problems (regulations) by using bitcoin. is it possible for the user to earn more then by using a faucet?

Amazing idea, but it is rather overly optimistic description. There is long way from pure concept to final product.
Games when it is possible to earn money in direct/indirect way are always populated by farmers/bots and gaming experience for normal people is diminished.
So far even huge companies like Blizzard or NCSoft can't eliminate bot users from their games so I don't think it is so easy...

Well im sure your game will get interest as some member playing it, you can rent the mothership to some signature here at bitcointalk, as it will get exposed for some long period, soo they offer you 0,10btc for 1 week or month then you can auction your space as the results it may have. I like games i always have free time to play them.

I honestly think this is a great idea and if it would be given the right story-line/graphics and all the other elements, it would probably be a hit in the bitcoin community as a way to have fun. It's pretty much like mining, except it's not automated and you'll have to grind for it for days.

So while you work at your shitty 9 to 5 job like a rat in a wheel, some people come up with creativity ideas to spread Bitcoin adoption.  Roll Eyes ... Not everyone have a high paying job and they cannot

afford to play expensive games. The advertisement can also turn into a competition between companies to see who can fund the biggest and toughest mothership that would last the longest, and this

benefit from any kind of income, and who would be just glad for a opportunity to get a income. They will spend more time fighting these aliens... than the rich brats who want a easy ride.  Wink

You just described what 99% of the Bitcointalk forum community consists of in a nutshell.
And no, normal people with shitty 9 to 5 jobs won't be spending time shooting aliens for digital pennies in their spare time anyways Grin

My friend IF 99% of this forum joins in to kill these motherships, I would have achieved my first goal... IF they tell their friends about it and they join in, I would have achieved my second goal.. which

is to increase Bitcoin adoption. I am also one of those people with a shitty 9 to 5 job, but I still think of methods to reach millions of people and also to help the poor and unemployed. This after all, are

better than sitting hour after hour solving Capthas on faucets.  Roll Eyes ... Make Bitcoin fun and create opportunities for people to make a few bucks, and they will come.  Wink
