im still waiting for him to leak out whatever juicy info he has on the new zealand prime minister.. right before the election.

i really don't know what to think of him. is he a douchebag using "the people's right" for cover, or does he actually believe in the shit he says?

Did he? The article I saw it seemed like people had just assumed he wanted to create his own coin, unless he's said otherwise elsewhere.

He had recently hosted a gathering for the New Zealand Internet Party members. There he put forward the suggestion of creating a national crypto-currency for New Zealand. I haven't heard about it after that.

Did he say he wanted to create a crypto or use one? I haven't seen anything concrete regarding it. There was also a Bitcoin ATM at that gathering (not that that means anything but it's cool he has one).

At least his alt coin would have a huge amount of street creds among people not in love with what happened to him. As long as it is open, Kimcoin can't be worse than dogecoin Smiley

I would love to see how much his cash could help the price.  Hopefully he gets the cash soon and throws some in.

Can't trust him. He made that tweet about Bitcoin debit cards more than a month ago. A few days later, he talked about creating his own coin, some type of shitcoin. So, can we trust him?

He already has some coins I think, but throwing a load more cash into the system would be great.

Wonder if he'll put any of his cash in coins so they can't be seized again?

My thoughts exactly!   Grin

You beat me to it. Listening to the album now  Grin

The website is very slick looking. I hope artists will be able to be paid in bitcoins. Looking forward for that remix contest for his album.

I am particularly interested in Kim Dotcoms promise to deliver a fully encrypted messaging platform. Skype could face some real competition in the near future.

The dark web is next supposedly. If all those tools work as planned then we are going into the light living the "we do it for your own good" people in their own darkness.

Darkweb is fully encrypted now with new methods that are too advanced to even talk about.

Kim Dotcom, Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, etc. -  countless, nameless others are being targeted.

Found this, summarizes the (r)evolution - granted, from a certain perspective, but still interesting:

Anonymous- The Story of the Hacktivists (Full Documentary)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7tQ1VtLMyk

Anyway, for those who aren't bothered to watch the video, Anonymous is a "hacker" group whose aim is to promote internet freedom, and attacks government websites when they try to control internet. Like when the FBI shut down megaupload, the US government sites and servers were down for a long time.

"Anonymous" is largely a bunch of basement-dwelling script kiddies ddos-ing websites. Hardly revolutionaries.
Well, if you think of them that way, let's see you prove yourself to be much more than "basement-dwelling script kiddies".

I am Edward Snowden. Anonymous ain't got shit on me.
