Those are the around about current used selling price. Because the material possession is being used as collateral, and the unit is not being bought to be kept; split the sales price of the item in half.  Why half you ask?  If the loan is defaulted upon, any company who holds something physical as collateral will have to go through the hassle of picturing the item, listing the item for sale, selling the item, paying fees to sell the item and then hope it is not returned to them; all in order to get the original loan amount lent out.  That is not what that company does, they provide loans.  I have been in the pawn business for over 14 years now and this is how it has always been done.

There is nothing wrong with the individual who I used as an example, this is what most people think.  They think if you can buy it for $1,000, you can use it as collateral for $1,000.  That is not how it works.  The point of the collateral is to make sure you pay your obligation and get the item back.  No loan company, including myself, wants the hassle of selling collateral.  I personally agree with the borrower here in that the laptop should sell for more than 1BTC, but I am not willing to use that as collateral for a .6 BTC loan to have to go through the hassle of selling IF the loan is not repaid.

To the borrower, I am glad you found the funding you needed and I am sorry I could not help you.  Thank you for considering me as a loaner for your needs.

I am sorry but there needs to be enough to cover the collateral + 10% in order for it to be considered collateral.  Because the new Galaxy S7's are out the one you have is worth about $120 on the wholesale market.  The laptop is worth a bit more at about $200 on the wholesale market.   The loan amount you are asking for is about $270 so the collateral needs to be worth around $300.  I know these units can sell for more on the used market, but I am not into the buying and selling deal, so I wholesale everything off that used for collateral and not paid back.  Let me know if you would like to move forward.

Please identify the account and a ling to the program so I can see if there is a way to secure it for collateral.  I will wait to hear from you.
