Yes, you are wrong in your assumption. You even quote me above which answers your question...

My question was not in relation to that post, or I would have quoted it for context. I'm obviously not talking about flags unrelated to account-selling.

Your thread title "[Flag] applied or required" seems to imply that Account Sellers will be flagged; I may be wrong about this assumption.  My question stands on its own, and I felt it was very relevant to the thread: Will you be creating or supporting flags against Account Sellers, for selling accounts?

These four out of the (more than four) listed further above also have negative trust for having committed scams.  They are not for being account sellers.  Please follow the links in the referenced threads for clarification.

So, I'm going to assume that English isn't your native-tongue and I'll do my best to understand and respond to what you're saying. Please let me know if I've misunderstood you.
Flags, even the "lowest level" flag requires a few things:

• I believe that anyone dealing with this user has a high risk of losing money
• Various concrete red flags
• Any knowledgeable & reasonable forum user should agree with
• It is not based on the user's opinions.

This means that you can't place a flag on an individual preemptively/before there is evidence to support the claim that users dealing with them are at a high risk of losing money. You're free the use negative-feedback if you strongly believe the person to be a scammer, or operating in a way that you believe is trustworthy (although, the purpose of feedback since inception was to gauge a user's ability to trade as agreed).


I am not defending account sales.
I don't think using flags to combat them is appropriate or the intended use of the system.


Then this is going to be abuse of the flag-system and will quickly become grounds for blacklisting.
Flags are meant to warn newbies/others of the actions of a user that would lead any reasonable member to believe that trading with them will likely result in money lost.


It won't make a difference until we are all on the same page and using the flag-system homogeneously.

In your submission, there should be a room for the act to be carry-out before the flag, but we say NO!, these individuals should be protected against their hilarious act on this forum. Even at that, account sales is harmful to the forum, in the sense that, they give rooms for spam on the forum and portray a bad humor for the forum.   


^^ as rightly said above, we aren't going to wait before the incident happen before we act. Anyone found selling account/accounts will be flag, becasue there's a tendency of the act by the account sellers by default.

Can you help me understand how being an account seller equates to anybody dealing with that individual being more likely to lose money? As far as I understand the flag-system, this is not the intended use of it. I'm not claiming that this is "abuse", but unless I misunderstand the system it is "misuse"; abuse would be intentionally misusing the system, which I don't think is your goal.

Negative Feedback would be sufficient and appropriate in the cases of recent accounts sales. Flags would be appropriate, if they claim to be selling accounts, then accept the money and provide nothing in return. It would also be appropriate if they are selling accounts that are being banned (causing the buyer to lose money) - farmed through plagiarism or other similar method.

Let me have a try at a terrible analogy: Selling illegal drugs will get a mark on your record, may result in jail-time or other penalties - One thing you aren't going to be charged with is "theft" or other financial fraudulence. We have a system that is compartmentalized for a reason. There is a difference between opinionated/subjective feedback, and evidence-based claims that an individual is a financial risk for all trading partners. You should be punished for what you are doing, not by whatever is the worst punishment we can get to stick.

I've been seeing too many flags pop up, that are very difficult to "oppose" (even lacking evidence of likely financial-loss), but should never have been created to begin with.

Here's another account seller forwarded for your perusal, please. Don't know why many are so lazy to buy account when they can happily create one for themselves.
