It'll be interesting to see if the DT manipulators scoff at your research, or decide to cherry pick you off of their totem poll.
What does that mean? All of them are not tagged yet, can you tag them if you think the evidence is clear enough?

I always advocate that the person submitting a known alts submission form should be the one who does the primary tagging and if any other person wishes to reinforce the tagging with their own is welcome to do so.

Right now I am looking at the evidence and will tag the accounts according to the valid proofs mentioned in the case. At the same time I will try to find a link between fakegurutu and these accounts.

Thanks for the update.

Thanks for looking into it. I didn't check the whole post history of fakegurutu, maybe you'll find some clear evidence.

@Chris! Thanks for your good wishes, I've always found the currency exchange section is a laugh scam a minute barrel of laughs.  When my spider senses start to tingle (bet you didn't know us Timelord's had spider senses - we got them from the Planet of the Spiders Metebelis Three) I can sniff out a scammer and the proof fairly quickly, it's the writing the reports up that takes an hour or more to archive and submit.

I haven't been keeping up the best, but glad to see you kept things alive Timlord2067. It's always been a pleasure working with you and if I have spare time in the future I won't hesitate to help find those pesky alt accounts.

I always loved picking a shitposter at random and doing a quick search for all of their posted bitcoin addresses. My general rule of thumb was: if there's one shitposter there's usually a whole swarm of accounts owned by said shitposter. It's sad how often it was true.

If you're out on the prowl I'd suggest looking through bounty threads, signature campaign threads, basically anything where you can earn some pocket change for spamming on any medium. I had my favourite threads that I would check, which if you look at my previous posts it would be pretty obvious which ones I followed.

Good luck on this never-ending journey. Some day they'll have AI that can link up 1000 accounts a second, but for now we'll stick with good old fashioned detective work.

Or how would you decide?

I'm of the opinion that if A, B, C and D are alts, even if only A and C are found to have scammed, then I'll give A, B, C and D Red Paint TM for being alts of each-other who are known to have scammed.

I started this thread a while ago, some comments worth considering: When leaving trust for known Alt's of other users feel free to vote too)
Thanks, I've submitted my vote.  Smiley

I agree that all accounts should be tagged if it's proven that they are scammers and connected. But the issue between sham100899, hisori and fakegurutu is, that we have only a clear evidence (BTC-address) for sham100899 and hisori but no real clear evidence to tag fakegurutu.

And I did some more research:

Hello and thanks for your comment.

I'm a little uncertain about mutual merits that are for one merit point per perit instance given.  Why I say that is because I've read threads where an issue has been discussed and persons with green trust have given each other merits for posts.  You'd have to go back and read through their mutual merits and see if they were for Shit Posts TM or not. (same goes for trust wall posts)
Yes, I'm not sure if it's enough evidence to give fakegurutu a red tag for Merit trading and theymos said once it's only safe to tag them if there is a strong evidence. Shasan found out that the Merit transfer was done only in 7 minutes: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.49438635

fakegurutu sent 3 merit to sham100899 at 6/6/2018 4:29:58 AM and
sham100899 sent 2 merit to fakegurutu 6/6/2018 4:36:41 AM That means merit exchanged only within 7 merits.
Both are using the same platform of bitcoin wallet. sham100899 and fakegurutu

Merit was sent for these posts (no ShitPosts):
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.45851205
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.36047535
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.39312832
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.34996088

Of course, he could have given the Merits for the best post to avoid meriting ShitPosts, but looks like a red tag is only deserved yet for sham100899, hisori (hard proof: enrolling multiple account in the same bounty), and not enough proof to tag fakegurutu for Merit trading and being an alt of the other ones.
Or how would you decide?

Literally you won't get tagged until you are cheating same campaigns with multiple accounts.

What's the source of this information before you mislead someone into doing this and end up getting all account red tagged. From what I read theymos only meant for opinions that users don't want associated with their main account. Participating in different campaign with alt account isn't that abuse of the system since you're taking advantage of alt account and can possible lead to spamming the forum just to meet up posts counts?
You want source?

One of the global moderator hilariousandco wearing signature for stake.com and his alt account hilariousetc is in the Chimixer campaign,so he is participating in two different campaigns because it is allowed.

Theymos never mentioned about multiple accounts in signature campaigns but if you go through rules of every campaign you can find that
Quote
No alt accounts allowed. If you've been found out of enrolling with an alt you'll be removed without payment.
which is untrustworthy behaviour and DT members will tag you for that.

So it means you can participate on different campaigns with your two different campaigns. Wink

Hi,

thanks for posting in the known alts thread, there's a form in the OP, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/known-alts-of-any-one-a-user-generated-list-mk-iii-2021-q2-2544574 if you copy that code to your post you can add the information into the relevant sections and your post will be uniform with everyone elses.  There's some tutorials in the second and third posts on how to archive information etc.

@coinlocket$ is a whiz with ETH transactions, hopefully he'll stop by and take a look.

Hope to see you back soon.

yes I have talked with him maybe he will check it out when he has time

I don't understand how to write a report here, I hope you guys can do further investigation

Hi,

thanks for posting in the known alts thread, there's a form in the OP, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/known-alts-of-any-one-a-user-generated-list-mk-iii-2021-q2-2544574 if you copy that code to your post you can add the information into the relevant sections and your post will be uniform with everyone elses.  There's some tutorials in the second and third posts on how to archive information etc.

@coinlocket$ is a whiz with ETH transactions, hopefully he'll stop by and take a look.

Hope to see you back soon.
