In this specific case (Kolder request) everything is much simpler, no need full escrow, all that is needed from you- take and held some bitcointalk.org account during loan period. (forget about altcoins, no one does not have )
After your confirmation , lender sending btc direct to borrower.

So yes, you are right. Definitely you need to do these things that you mention above and its not worth it, if you consider only money...

I had a short PM chat with Kolder after they contacted me to ask if I would be the Escrow, (the fact that I have "I am not an escrow in my signature seems to have alluded them   )  my reply was:


I am waiting to hear back from Kolder on that one, but thought I'd throw it out there for discussion to see if I have that understanding correct in my head.

Because it's not an actual sale, my question is: "Am I correct in supposing the Escrow would hold onto the collateral until such time as the loan is either repaid or forfeited?"

I also figure the "fee" would be limited to two times the TX fee + one more as a tip in the hat.  IE ((0.0001 X 2) + 0.0001 = BTC 0.0003)

(the two TX fees being: one to pass onto the borrower and then the lender, plus one more to pool in case future borrowers and or lenders want part payments / repayments).

I also figure I would need two BitCoin addresses, the first where the lender sends the coins so the potential borrower could see the funds are available (ie a 1EscrowTL... style address) and then a unique random Wallet Address for each lender's repayments so that the lender can see the loans are, or have been, repaid. (which would be signposted on the lender's Loan approval page for transparency)

Unless I am mistaken, the time for repaying the loan would start from when it were funded so that a borrower wasn't being penalised for late payment.

And I'd have to seed the loan & repayment wallets with funds to cover initial TX fees until such time as the process were underway.

As to Alt coins, I did see one other lender was asking 125% collateral - I've never looked at ICO coins, so would have to look at installing a wallet for that coin.

I'd have to ensure the Alt Coin has at least one working (and stable) block explorer.  (I did consider rolling a Paper Wallet to hold AltCoin's in Escrow, but I came up with a myriad of reasons (part repayment, lender can't re-import the Private Key, Lender wants AltCoins cashed out etc etc) why that might be problematic.

No collateral loan is not encouraged to use in the lending section.You can see it in pinned post and i'm not a risk taker like you because i'm still new in this kind of business. I just dont want to let my btc sleep in my wallet and at the same time help other members who badly needed btc.

Really!? When was this a thing? I remember I gave a no collateral loan yesterday - when can I expect my ban? /s The forum doesn't care how you loan. Most loans are no collateral as well. I've been given altcoin collateral a whopping 3 times, during over 10 months.

It means that i didn't accept that kind of request. I'm still new in this kind of business. Maybe i will reconsider that thing later. But as far as i know. Loan without collateral is not allowed in lending section. But still it is depends on the user who will request the loan

Escrow is a must for me. I am not planning to hold the collateral account. I just forgot to mention it. And i can provide a sign message if necessary. Thanks for reminding me.

exactly, I notify that you account have even 336 potential activity, which is a very important sign, that account bought, Looking at your post history clearly see that activity start just month ago.

Important!!! All the collateral should be held by trusted third party escrow for safety of buyer.

I'm starting to offer a loan service as of today.


Please read carefully my terms:
1. Jr. member and below ranks is not eligible for my loan service even if you are on DT. Because there is so many account selling as of now.
2. The only collateral that i will accept are BCT account Membe or up (Potential Activity on Account is accepted)and ICO coins( i will decide about the price for the token,promised to be fair)- the collateral will be holding by reputable escrow.
3. Only 2 weeks is the maximum duration for the loan. And once it is extended, i will add a (2%) interest on the total amount on the following days.
4. 3 days is the maximum extention days before defaulting.
5. The loan interest is 5% of capital money for a week. So the maximum interest rate here is 10% of capital money considering that you want a loan for two week without extention. The interest rate for less than a week is the same for 1 week.
6. Paying in advance will not gonna reduce the interest but you will received a kudos from me.
