If you use our bank partner SMBC to fund your Kraken account with USD, EUR or GBP, your funding instructions will be changing soon. Domestic USD and domestic JPY deposits and withdrawals remain unaffected.

We currently have a team devoted to cultivating new bank partnerships and expect to start seeing the fruits of this effort soon with new bank funding options coming online. For our clients residing outside Japan who have been using our bank partner in Japan, we expect to announce a replacement option for you soon, and will let you know if there will be any interruption in service.

Please be aware that deposits sent using the old instructions must arrive no later than 11:59 pm on March 20 Japan time (deposits arriving after this time will be returned). Withdrawals will need to be requested no later than 12:00 pm on March 27 or they will remain in your Kraken account.

If you have any other questions or concerns about this please drop by our Bitcointalk thread.

It was pretty clear that it is going to happen at some point.
Once the regulators enter this market there is no going back.
The banks can't really verify that the company is not money laundering, so they can't let them keep their bank account open.
I think that it's just going to get worse, because the US government are now doing steps to prevent people from transferring funds that are associated to cryptocurrency trading, and that's not all, you  can't even sell to cash in the US, because you can get into a lot of troubles.

I don't know why somepeople are opening thread just for the sake of writing something, the information provided above is not complete, the title is about Kraken closing deposit anf he did not talk about Kraken in the introduction, there are some P2P exchanges that you can use to convert your tokens or coins to fiat

Please provide the list of P2P exchanges supporting USD conversion.
As far as i know that there is no P2P exchange site which supported USD conversion. The only way for you to register or use US based exchange site just like Polo, Bitstamp, Bitfinex, and Bittrex. But they are all working with the SEC compliance which give a mandatory for every users in their platform to complete KYC and AML verification before you will able to use them all.

Looks like bankers are getting desperate to choke crypto-currency exchanges.

Please suggest some easy ways to keep converting USD to coins and vice versa.

If we do not find easy ways of doing crypto  business, our investment will be in risk.
