this piece of shit of an exchange with a website that looks like from the 00s and the performance/reliability of a 90 yearold trying to get a hardon.

why the fuck did i use this pile of crap to buy xrp,  as soon as they enable withdraw i am gtfo!

And those are just the stuff we can see, imagine how their backend and security looks like, if you are smart you will do the same.

Withdrawals are now disabled and will remain disabled for a minimum of 12 hours (during this time we will be monitoring the new system for anomalies)

We don't know. Maybe they wanted to try to product test Ethereum wallet working, maybe not. We just have to see what will happen. I don't believe it is a scam.
Why test with 180,000 ETH instead of 1 ETH? I smell a rat and so do lots of others. Kraken have just announced that they are coming back online shortly. I'm waiting for other announcements saying that there's yet another delay and a final one saying that funds have been lost.

Nobody in their right mind will ever trust Kraken again, they are finished!

You're the big loser....
You announced here in this topic that kraken had been hacked and that they were going to go bankrupt...

They have just reopened and the funds are there...

Until the date you announced, you benefit from the doubt (15/1/2018) but if on this date, customers can withdraw their funds, I hope you will have the decency to leave this forum...

And if I were kraken I would sue you for the accusations you made here...

@mayax

You have to consider and admit a site like Kraken can be more convenient for some people. For example, with Kraken you can withdraw to your bank account without giving any documents. For me an example I would be happy to send ID documents if it's really needed but I can't, my ID card is considered as not valid because the date expired but the govt. consider it as valid since it changed a law, so no use to change it.
Additionally, there are surely a lot of coins that can't be traded on the website you mentioned.

@backback

Then what? Aren't we allowed to complain or to be worried about our funds? We all know exchanges own the private keys. So what, if it happens with your bank you're not allowed to complain because you don't the money?

why do you use unlicensed exchangers if you don't like the stress? Smiley

let's not forget that Kraken is based in USA and they have NO financial license. They are not a registered MSB in any state.

Kraken and many other shit exchangers do not offer any protection. Why do you whine on forums when you know very well what kind of website you are using?

again, i am posting few real exchangers :

http://www.avatrade.com/forex/cryptocurrencies/bitcoin

https://www.plus500.com/

https://www.ig.com

www.fxcm.com/

Do you ever hear about any problems with the "trading engine" or about verification or about withdrawal problems? Never Smiley  This is the difference between hipsters/shit/illegal companies and a legit business.

All of these are trading e-currencies too.

As you know when you are on a market/exchange and YOUR PRIVATE keys are their private keys you accept the risk to remain with 0. So stop wanking arround this is IT industry you just clicked I AGREE button. SO PLEASE READ INTEL ME BUG to see how easy can be a server hacked without any security software to see the intrusion again if kraken is down forever our fault, not them

I don't know. Kraken always delivered good quality and secure product. If they wanted to scam out, they would not take all the hassle like they did these past 2 weeks. It would have been more easy.

I also read your remark about getting back online shortly, but shortly in Kraken language means 'some time in the future'. We just have to see what will happen. There could be 10000 possibilities if I take in account al the crazy theories going on at this moment.

please provide links to your sources, this is very concerning if your are correct

Guys... You might want to tune into Bitcoin News!

It's official... KRAKEN HAS COLLAPSED !!!

The "bug" was placed by a hacker (a Kraken insider) about 6 months ago which has exported all private keys to an external recipient in Russia. As you may understand, Kraken aren't ready to admit this in public, but they will make an announcement on Monday, 15JAN.

The Mt. Gox collapse is now pale in comparison.

Crypto speculation is about to come to a sticky end. We all knew that it was just a matter if time before it all came crashing down. Hopefully some people got out in time, but others have lost everything.

I couldn't wait any longer and I've just sold ALL my crypto via the Binance and Blockchain exchanges with no problems at all. I suggest you all consider selling asap as the crypto collapse is only days away.

I'll be back in the game once the dust settles.

There are many roumours out there, saying FBI is raiding there, that someone has placed an exploit there several months ago, before the big crypto boom.
If you use google and change the settings to only show informations from the last 24h/48h you will find the romours. I was checking it last time yesterday and there was no information on a website with good reputation, might only be romours. Well let's hope so Smiley

kraken.com has been offline for more than 48 hours now... will they really come back online???
No!

Kraken have now shut down for good and the scammers taken our funds with them!

Look for the Kraken_4 wallet on Etherscan. They have been moving huge sums to this wallet, never from it. The last big transaction was for 180,000 ETH at exactly the same time as their last status update at 20:00 UST last night. Apart from a massive exit plan, why would they stuff all this into only one wallet?
