It's going to be downloadable products only, take themeforest for an example (with much lower vendor fees!).

That way, we can create our own products to sell. It means the profit share for KTK holders is not relying on revenue generated from fees alone.

Which would be relatively small to start with until the marketplace had enough vendors actively selling. So having our own products, revenue will be much higher and as a result bigger profit to share with KTK holders. A little added bonus, anyone who promotes a product and refers a confirmed sale get a commission, if that happens to be a KTK holder it's extra profit for them!

If there was enough demand for a tangible MP, it could be easily done by setting up a second site. But my day to day business is selling my own downloadable products (themes, plugins, web apps), so that's the reason I'm going for downloadable products. Been doing that since 2006 and built a pretty big customer list, who always buy and promote my new products!  Cool

*Edit* and I've not yet promoted KTK to my customers, and will do so when the MP goes live!  Grin

Nice! What will be sold through the MP? Computer hardware? Electronic Devices? Any specific category?

Had internet problems since Tues night, so unable to get on the thread!

Marketplace update

I've got the btc payments integrated into the marketplace (MP), I'm doing some final testing this week. And I can then get a video demo done for Monday to show how it currently works.

Basically a customer visits a product for sale on the MP...

> Selects btc as payment option, is then taken to a page with the address to send the btc amount

> It has a progress page, where it displays a progress bar with the transaction status and remaining confirmations required to complete

> Once the confirmations are completed, the customer is redirected to the download page

Nothing unusual with the process, except the payment has been split between multiple addresses. The MP gets paid a fee, and the remaining is sent directly to the vendor, and if it was an affiliate referral, they would also receive their % commission from the transaction (commission is set by the vendor).

Also the KTK wallet api is coming along. The KTK payment option will work in exactly the same way as they do with btc. The code for the MP integration is ready, just the final api code on the wallet to complete and can then pull it all together.

Yay!! Good news indeed, I'm really excited about this. I think that as long as we offer enough items in the marketplace, this will be greatly beneficial for KTK.
I'll be sure to check out the video demo on Monday  Wink Thanks for all your hardwork!

that will boost the coin and developments like this are helpful for the coin

Very nice work.

Once the market place is ready for physical good, I'll get some Toners/cartridges, all different types of light bulbs if there is a ll for these types of things

Dev great work, as always. I am currently on holidays and will be back to full action next Monday. Can help with beta testing then. IMO some of the low prices and low interest may be because of the holiday period - thus it is very important to have things ready for the end of August and then start to advertise it  aggressively.

Crypto Currency Supporter
I tried to trade some XC to buy the KTK, its just too much value at this price. Coins are bleeding but KTK is stable @200sat with constant holders support. I would have bought at an instant if my short trading XC was successful pfff

Sadly I can't offer any buy support yet as I went pretty much all in at 600 sats!

I do have some other funds but they are tied up as I would be taking a loss as things stand.

The contest looks good by the way!

I believe we only need 2 exchanges until we have enough volume to support more. I am a fan of bittrex and allcoin as the back up. I mean if we can get on cryptsy great but the problem is if you cant support the volume on both you risk getting delisted which is worse then not being listed at all. We are just keeping our head above watter on trex and a lot is because of my buying. We need to shore up trex and then just have a smaller back up for now. I run my contest to try and help stimulate volume. Since I am running my Firecoin contest and Rubycoin has had me run one and wants another I might ask someone else run the contest so I am not spamming too many coins. LOL I will donate or even pay for it if needs be but then I would be the one to draw the winner and then pay them.
I agree about the volume problem and your buy orders. Maybe we should wait for marketplace to see more buy support and volume.

About the contest, let's wait for the dev and other members' opinion. I will run it and leave the draw to you, if others accept.

Sounds great. Hopefully people will start to get active.

Nice! Somebody put up a buy wall for 300,000 @200 sat  Smiley I don't think there are that many dumpers left to be able to eat through the wall.
Hopefully we'll see the value go up from here but volume is quite low.

I moved the wall down. I did buy up that sell wall though. I need to see more buy support from community before I push back up again. Start spreading the word. If you want your cheap KTK they better get it soon. The sell side is getting pretty thin and ripe for a huge spike.

You ate all of 203 sell wall? You were hungry pal! Wink

I am also the one with the 300k at 135. I am thinking of moving it back up to 200 but I want to see some people actually start buying other then me. Otherwise I will let the dumpers keep dumping to me at a lower price.
I think you are the cheap leader of KTK now. (Are you familiar with poker?)

If you are saying Chip leader then yes I know what you are saying. i play poker all the time. I also agree there is a good chance I am the chip leader. Grin   Of course is this a good thing? I think so I believe in this coin long term. Maybe I will do a weekly contest Like I run for my coin. But we need people to actually enter the contest.
You are right, I meant "chip" leader, but after buying at 200 sat you are also "cheap" leader! Omaha or Texas Hold'em?

What kind of contest?

Texas Hold em all the way!!! I really wish we were more active like the mint pal voting.
Do you have exchange in mind, other than Cryptsy, to start voting?
