It wasn't going to be surprising to see Athletic Bilbao staying out of top four at the end of the season. Now they have really thrown away their chance completely by thinking that Atletico Madrid would win. Aside from that Simeone and his students must be really devastated after that Dortmund loss. They really looked determined for qualifying for even the finale. 

Now Simeone will at least make sure that they qualify for the Champions League. By the way it hasn't been much time since the board extended Simeone's contract. They must still be contented with his work. Maybe not in the La Liga but in the Champions League they have been really good this season.

I just want someone to mark my word, Real Madrid will win treble trophies this season, Real Madrid have already won Spanish super cup and they will win Laliga and also win champions league again, even if we are not sure of champion league title we should be sure of laliga because Real Madrid is currently at the top of the league leading Barcelona with 8 points, and this season in laliga Real Madrid is the only team that just got defeated once this season, Real Madrid performance still looks good that no any team including Barcelona can defeat them and even if Real Madrid lose to Barcelona on this coming el Classico match I don’t think it will stop Real Madrid from winning laliga league.

Not even in laliga, also in champions league, I believe Real Madrid will do everything to make sure they win the champion league this season, this will also make Real Madrid to become the first team ever in the history of football to win 15 trophies of champion league, and if Real Madrid win this season champion league, I think a champion league should just put Real Madrid logo in every season champion league to know that Real Madrid is the best team in the football history.

from the start I was sure that this was the season that Real Madrid had to win back the UCL title that they missed last season and I didn't have any worries about this because Real Madrid mentally had more experience and had only a way to be able to do it pass to the next round.
currently, Real Madrid only needs 2 more steps to win the title and must also be careful to maintain its position in the La Liga standings.
I believe that Ancelotti will prove that he can revive Real Madrid bad times last season and will be replaced this season with the UCL title and La Liga title, but at least Ancelotti must perfectly rotate the Madrid players or set a strategy at least not to lose points in each La Liga match later.

in the El Clasico match, I have a prediction whether Madrid will win or it will only end in a draw and I need to confirm all of that later after seeing which players will be used in the player strats in the match and if Vinic and Bellingham will be rested it is likely to end in a draw.
but if Bellingham or Vinic can be present on the pitch I'm sure Real Madrid will win.

Athletic Bilbao have lost a lot of momentum for a few weeks.    This was their 3rd match in a row in which they lost points. I have no idea how they managed to get a 1-1 draw home against Granada.

I mean Granada don't have any chance left for getting out of relegation area if we look at it from a reasonable aspect. Athletic Bilbao shouldn't waste these chances if they want to qualify for the Champions League. Atletico Madrid will probably beat Alaves away tomorrow and deal a final blow to Athletic Bilbao home after that to finish their hopes. This is my opinion after the big drop in Athletic Bilbao's form.

Real Madrid has again proven that they are the top of European football, they have succeeded in winning various competitions and in several competitions they have succeeded in conquering them by becoming the most successful team in winning the title.
Real Madrid extended their contract with Ancelotti and this season they have proven by having several opportunities that they are the strongest candidates to win titles in several competitions.
This season has really been really great season for Real Madrid, this is clearly revenge from last season where they didn't get anything from every important competition they took part in.

Only team that is able to compete with Real Madrid is Barcelona for La Liga and their rivalry has really been an eternal rival for long time, I remember when Barcelona still had Messi and Real Madrid with Ronaldo, this was an epic rivalry momentum.
In the past I remember how successful Barcelona was when Carles Puyol was still one of Barcelona best captains.

It would have been bad if a Spanish team did not move to the next stages because about 5 teams from the Spanish la Liga came for this champions league season which was the highest, as other countries came within four teams and below.
Real Madrid is a good team and despite that they won City, they knew they played against one of the champions that was why they were so happy after they won on penalties. It was just unlucky that Manchester city was drawn together with a strong opponent as Real Madrid, had it been it was a different team, Manchester city could have reached the finals but nevertheless, They played a matured and entertaining football.

When Atletico Madrid still had to secure their top four position from the threat of Athletic Bilbao, they were actually helped because their rivals surprisingly only drew 1-1 against Granada, Granada was ahead because of an own goal from Williams and both goals were scored by Athletic players even Granada didn't have a single shot on target, in contrast to the home team who controlled the entire match and had at least six shots on target, many of which couldn't be converted into goals and this is a bad result for Athletic because Granada is the only team that was relegated this season.
This draw made it quite difficult for Athletic Bilbao to continue competing for a place in the top four, so, likely, they will only play in the European league next season because their position in 5th place in the standings is quite safe with eight points leads the team below them.

I have no doubts that Real Madrid can win La Liga this season, they have everything to do it and their competitors Barcelona also do not have a good performance to be able to put pressure on Real Madrid so there is no difficulty for Real Madrid to win the title.
An 8-point lead is not an easy thing to catch, especially since Real Madrid has very good strength and consistency.
And in my opinion, what happened in the Champions League will actually make the Real Madrid team even stronger, now they are in the semifinals after beating defending champions Manchester City and Real Madrid is very close to winning the Champions League title.

I wouldn't say that with such certainty, as it wouldn't be the first time the tables have turned at the end of the league. As of today, it is clear that Madrid deserve to win it and they also have plenty of chances in the Champions League, and as the team that has won the most Champions League titles, this year could be great if they win both competitions, for which they have a good chance.

La Liga points table already we can see that Real Madrid is still 8 points ahead of Barcelona. And this season they have plenty of chances for the title and this is not going to be missed by Real Madrid but they will improve their game tremendously. Madrid also have a chance to win La Liga this season as Ancelotti is currently in the Champions League beating Pep Guardiola's side in the semi-finals. Ancelotti is currently playing an important role for Madrid and he looks to be most successful this season. And this season I think Real Madrid will become stronger in the Champions League and Ancelotti will make his boys work harder to win the Champions League and La Liga.

It's a shame that Bilbao failed to win after only drawing 1-1 against Granada and that meant Bilbao failed to match their points tally with Atletico. I think that even though Granada is not the favorite team to win, they can still put pressure on Bilbao in the away game and the result is that Bilbao scored an own goal in the early minutes which resulted in Granada taking the lead.

After that, Bilbao seemed to work even harder and they wanted to immediately equalize and they managed to do it in the 24th minute through a goal scored by Guruzeta. Even though there are still a lot of minutes left in the match, unfortunately both Bilbao and Granada were unable to increase their lead and both teams had to be willing to share the same 1 point. However, this point is still very important for Granada and they will continue to fight even though the difference in points to escape the relegation zone is still very large.

This season's La Liga, Real Madrid really deserves to be champions, because last season Barcelona was already champion of La Liga. There is a possibility that Barcelona will try to become La Liga champions next season. Carlo Ancelotti is currently passionate about winning in several leagues so he always provides good strategies when competing on the field.

We're observing the necessary changes. La Liga teams tried but fall off along the line and the only solidable team remaining is Los Blancos. Actually Madrid and Manchester city were the most dreaded teams in the champions league so having one of them leave is actually like a sign of relief to other teams in the champions league because they are not really going to be scared of the fact that they are now  having to challenge either of the big teams and one of both of them is out son it's just one who may have to be meeting the best team in the finals of the champions league.

Other teams are now having to contend within themselves for a chance at the champions league finals with Madrid. Even in the la Liga Madrid been able to to beat Barcelona again is one thing that i think will add to boosting their confidence again as it will be the second time in the la Liga this season that they are winning Barcelona making them now very sure of been able to win the La Liga this season unlike they would have taught they would have been able to buy then the la Liga isn't really giving much pressure to Madrid again this season as they have so far been able to stay comfortably at the top.

Staying at the top of the league table with over six points ahead of the second teams is enough to get them to relax and hope to not be really pressured enough and are probably going to making sure they achieve two trophies this season thee place where they are getting the most of the pressure have to be the champions league of which they are gradually getting to the point of been too sure to win too aswell.

La Liga is already been won by Real Madrid this season, he'd making alot of tremendous records. Barcelona is never on the phase of Real Madrid this season, there's huge difference when comparable to their team's stats and points earned this season. Real Madrid have proven to be the only surviving Spanish team in the UEFA Champions League this season, always contesting in major competition and they're fierce in performance. Carlo Ancelotti totally understands the future of his young team and he makes ends meet with the current squad.

Both big guns of the spanish league over the weekend were able to maintain their wins and be able to get maximum 3 points in order to still chase each other for the league this season. Both victories though were narrow victories but their matches were one interesting one to watch as we can see how both goals were wonderful ones.

 ⁠I know the opponents will bot be happy with the scoreline as the defeat didn’t come in such a very heavy scoreline rather they were able to just concede one goal only. This is one of the many ways where football can be one crazy game and goes unpredictable as no one expected any of this team to just get a gaol in their different matches.
 
 ⁠Well with 7 points ahead of these teams, I think the battle for the league will still go on and one very important competition will be the El Classico match and probably if Madrid will win, then they’ve successfully secured the league. This battle will be one fierce one and I would love to see how the battle goes down between these two.⁠ I don’t think Barca stands any chance though because 7 point gap is such a huge one to close against Real Madrid. So I feel both teams will maintain their play till the season end and Madrid will sure be winners of the league.

Ancelotti is still able to rotate players in every important match to prepare their squad for more important matches in other competitions each season. This means that Ancelotti really understands their current condition so he knows who to place in matches that will not affect their position in the current standings. But for the El Classico match, of course Real Madrid will try to win again at home in order not to feel embarrassed by their own fans because it would be a very big prestige for Real Madrid if they had to lose to their arch rival at this time.

Yes and reading a few pages back I saw how some people thought Bilbao could threaten Girona and take their spot in the Champions League qualifiers. But no, it is not going to happen as the advantage Girona has is too big and even if they fail to win some games, it doesn't mean that Bilbao will win their games. See today...

Losing points against Granada in this game now killed their ambitions once and for all. They should have won this game in order to stay in the race, but it is over in my opinion. I doubt that Girona will commit the same mistake and drop points against a team that is also positioned in the relegation zone.

I agree with this because in my opinion the 2 biggest forces and candidates for the Champions League are Madrid and Manchester City so when one of them must be eliminated as happened yesterday where Manchester City had to lose to Madrid then most likely the winning club will definitely become the champion and that is a matchology that has lasted for the past 2 seasons.

The previous 2 seasons Madrid managed to win very dramatically from Manchester City and they immediately got their 14th trophy in the Champions League and last season where Manchester City managed to destroy Madrid at Etihad making them champions for the first time in the Champions League as well as recording a new history for them.

This season looks the same as they meet and beat each other which makes Madrid come out as the winner so it is certain that the current favourite for the final and even the champion is Madrid even though there are Bayern who are ready to tackle them in the semi-final.

With this, of course, it makes the situation of Madrid's confidence increase even more, especially now that they are playing at home, although sometimes things like this cannot really be used as a reference, but still, home matches make more advantages in terms of their mentality.
