Girona have flop so bad, though I know that they have not been stable lately but I didn't foresee such humiliation coming from athletic Madrid to Girona, on a norm athletico was a better side than girona but earlier this season girona proved to be a better team but all of a sudden things changed in the middle of the season, the match between both team ended 2:1 in the first half of the match after seeing girona securing thr first goal of the match I thought that they are going to perform very well in the game but it was disappointing seeing girona making the mistake of allowing athletico Madrid to score 2goals in the first half and there by putting them ahead in the game, such a devastating moment for girona fans, the total ball possession of the match was taken by athletico Madrid, the deserve the winning because the hustle for it amd they won.

I  think it's  the same news that brought barca to better gameplay, it was after Xavi announcement  of leaving  the club as a coach after the end of the season that brought barca players to their right sense, why ?? If they could truly performed this much,  why was their game play so horrible  before?? Is it that the players knows what they are doing, I have a lot of question  TBH .

Although,  I noticed something  it was when xavi started benching his so called favourite  strikers and his formations  that  they started producing  a great performance.
The club is filed with much too much benchers maybe he should try loaning  them to improve their skills that just  sitting them to wreck their skills.

I would be surprised if Xavi changed his decision now and stayed in Barcelona. Yes, now everything is fine in the team, the game has improved, they bypass Girona in La Liga and beat PSG away, so I have no doubt that they would like Xavi to remain in the team, but if he said about his decision then change the decision is not worth it, it's his reputation. And besides, after such results, I have no doubt that he may have much more attractive offers from teams with a more stable financial position, and therefore better opportunities.

This season is one season Barcelona fans wants to forget in a hurry as this season have been one of their down seasons coupled with the financial issues of the club.  Club’s finances is always a big worry especially as it’s not going to help the club be able to get the proper signings they need. This is one challenge the club has faced this season and as such have had to manage with the injured players and the available players.

 Managing with both sets of players seems to be real tough and this can be troublesome especially for the coach. And i feel because of the trouble and all Xavi decided to depart the club at the end of the season. The win against Mallorca was a boost for them especially as they head into the UCL game against Napoli. You can see how they’ve managed to fight all hard with their injury crisis.

 Xavi has been a good manager at the Spanish side, even though they've had some shaky situations, they've just found a way to cover up lapses and make necessary coverings to the loopholes. It's very much good that they were able to put in good effort regardless of what they lacked to good team building. Nonetheless, Xavi would have still done better than he's already done.

 Well, his days with the team are technically numbered and he's got some commendations which he definitely deserves. I don't know what to say about his intended replacement but all I'll say is Barcelona as a team has work to be done and I'd love to see the new Barcelona in seasons and games to come.

Xavi doesn't have much of a budget to build his dream squad to achieve much success, but as a potential big coach, he has proven himself to have a good record in Europe so far. The Barcelona he coached was different and much better than the previous coach, meaning that Xavi had the ability to prove his quality beyond many other coaches.

The greatest thing I have to admit about Xavi is that he succeeded in introducing many academy players to become important players in Barcelona's main squad. Balde, Fermin, Lamine Yamal, Cubarsi, Marc Guiu and several others are players with Spanish blood who are likely to enter the main squad for the Spanish national team in the coming years instead of just Barcelona. That is one of the successes that I have to admit from him, but unfortunately he came at a time when Barcelona was having financial problems.

Real Madrid won 0-1 at Mallorca today. Obviously I am happy with the result and of course these 3 points will bring the club closer to the La Liga title this season. Barcelona will no longer be a problem at the end of the season, but I hope Real Madrid can maintain their chances well.

Even though Barcelona performance is uncertain, I think progress in the UCL is enough to support them to qualify for the semifinals. They have shown a great game and beat PSG at the opponent home ground. This shows that Barcelona currently has quite a big opportunity and the task is easier because in the second leg they are playing at home. Even though Barcelona scheme did not win the UCL trophy, Xavi is still considered to be a coach who has made many changes amidst Barcelona messy financial condition. In my opinion, he has been able to survive and by maximizing what he has, Xavi can be said to be quite lucky, because now the most disadvantaged is when Xavi has to leave and Laporta will have difficulty finding a replacement.

Girona's defeat today against Atletico Madrid was predicted yesterday. I'm not surprised by what Atletico Madrid did at home, that's what they should get because in fact Girona is not better in terms of squad depth. A team like Girona plays well because of their enthusiasm and great ambition without any pressure, but when they are burdened by an achievement then that's when their mentality can't keep up.

Feel for Xavi. His hands are bound. The club is broke, therefore he cant sign big players to compete. No recipe for success, in my opinion. His back-and-forth about leaving may be a power move to get the board to relax the purse strings. This is a risk, and Im not convinced it will pay off.

I like Yamal and Lopez - great potential. However, academy players alone cannot win a title. You need battle-tested leaders. Barca must solve the money problem or adapt their play. The leader requires a smart plan, a deal-making mind, and the ability to work with what they have. Xavi and others are under pressure in this difficult circumstance.

Judging by several interviews where Xavi said something like “there is nothing good about being a Barcelona coach, it is a thankless job,” he is not ready/willing to work under such pressure and is serious about leaving no matter what. Laporta’s desire is understandable - he can hardly count on luring a better coach to Barcelona than Xavi (and this is not just a matter of finances, but in general the club’s uncertain position), so even such, in a sense, offensive statements from Xavi went unnoticed.
