La Liga is not easy and very tough for mediocre teams. With the presence of Real Madrid and Barcelona, these average teams thinks they're capable of withstanding the pressure coming their path? It's funny how these teams fight really hard to accumulate points and when they've been the at the top, all of a sudden, they dropped and even returned back worse. Girona was expected to maintain the lead but they fall from the top and they're having complications to maintain their streak winnings. However I wouldn't blame them because they're average team and they have been doing everything to rise back up but it doesn't seem to be happening.

Up to this moment many are still doubting Girona qualifying to champions league, i really respect how few people were happy to see a new change in Laliga seeing a non popular club stressing the strongest teams in Laliga and showing them how good they are and how far they can go with their consistent performance, but still few still doubt them, but if they are looking at it in the view of not maintaining it to the end, l will agree with them based on this is there first time of pushing so hard, but next time if they can do it again they will do better than this season because they could have gather more experience to make them stay at the top.

In fact, many of Laliga's bottom teams at the start of each season always manage to climb into the top three of the standings, but they are not as consistent as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, so they are back in the middle position. In contrast to Girona, Girona this season has made a surprise in LaLiga because the progress they have had so far has been consistent and they are certain to advance to the Champions League next season.

This season many teams that face Girona will find it difficult to face them, they are very consistent in their game. Because they use a 5-3-2 pattern when they meet strong teams and also dare to play openly, that's what's interesting about Girona this season.

If Girona was able to play more than 27th match from beginning of the season without a loss and they started to fumble just when the season was a about to be over, then I think the players the coach was exploring were tired at the end and because he didn't have much alternatives to switch to, he continues to use the ones he had and because they were exhausted, there is noyhing much for them, they failed to deliver as usual and this is more reason more players are needed to be deployed to Girona especially as they will be going to Champions League next season.

They also look weak in the standing, they had so much opportunity to wider their gap points away from Barcelona but it seems as Barcelona lose their match, so do they. It now look like they are fixed by Barcelona performance. It's will be better they move as soon as possible before Atletico comes and over take them and I'm very sure that would be sad.

Currently with a significant increase in performance for Girona, I actually don't think there is a guarantee that players and coaches can all stay for next season because after all, surely with their current performance stealing the attention there will definitely be some players who will eventually be looked at by clubs that could be bigger.

Currently Saviola has become their sister club Manchester City and it is not impossible for other players to do the same.
Currently Dovbyk is still very prominent and it is not impossible that after the transfer opens there will be several interested in this player and other players so for the future it should depend on Girona themselves whether they can still maintain the condition of the players and their chemistry or not because if their players leave then I think there is no guarantee they will still have the same performance as now.

The 3-day break I think is a situation that is not too bad because if you look at the schedule of other clubs in this case who are still in the Champions League like Madrid they also have the same break when they face Manchester City in the Champions League and Mallorca 3 days later in La Liga.

Barcelona has some interesting decisions to make.

On the 11th of April, they are going to play in the Champions League match against PSG. and,
On 14 April they are going to play against Cadiz.

They will have to manage the squad properly so that they will be able to win both of the matches. Because there is no option for them to lose or even draw either of them. I think Barcelona is going to concentrate on the Champions League matches right now. Because Cadiz should be an easy opponent for them. So Barcelona should concentrate on the match on 11th April against PSG. Rotate some players and go against Cadiz with moderate strength and on 17 April play the second leg against PSG with the best squad again. I think that should be the plan for Barcelona right now.

There is a 7 point gap between Girona and Athletico Madrid, and they would still be fourth if they drop there, there is a 9 point difference between Athletic Club as well, so it wouldn't be really all that simple. We are talking about just 8 games left, expecting Girona to lose 9 more points than Athletic Club in the last 8 weeks would be a little weird.

I hope that people could find a way to make that work, I can't really see how that would be any different, but if that is what we are looking at then we should be considering the situation to be important. I personally believe that what we have right now would not be easy, and we do need the situation to be a little bit easy for Girona to end at UCL levels this season without a doubt.

I think Girona have been improving gradually over the years and the fact that their players have been playing together for long is another thing to their advantage. I don't expect expect to change anytime soon and that will mean that they would have transfoed from a low club to a top team. Of they eventually qualify for champions league next season in line with the expectations of their teaming supporters, that will be a big boost to their morale and team spirit. Indeed the future is looking so bright for them.

The situation faced by Girona is slightly in their favor, especially as they will be safe in the Champions League zone thanks to their consistency at the start of the season. Losing against ATM will not threaten their position, the Mihcel fleet will still have a difference of 4 points later. However, ATM may not necessarily be able to beat Girona, even though they are favorites because they act as hosts.

The Athletic club had a lot of chances to score more goals in this match early on. And also in regular time. So if somehow they were unable to actually win this match it would have been very sad for them. But luckily they were able to win and they were pretty lucky. because honestly, penalties can go either way. It was actually surprising the amount of chances that the athletic club had missed in this match. They had actually scored more than once but those were ruled offside by the VAR. So they have been able to win the Copa Del Rey competition.

Now I think they are going to concentrate on getting ahead of Atlético Madrid and finishing in the fourth position of the table in La Liga.

I didn't watch the Copa Dey Rey final game on live footage but was able to see the highlights of the game later on and in my own opinion, I don't think i expected Mallorca to perform impressively like they did yesterday. I was thinking the final will be an easy ride for Athletic Bilbao but little did I know that the Mallorca players will be too resilient to even take the game to penalty shootout. Congratulations to Athletic Bilbao for lifting the Spanish Copa Dey Rey.

I don't want to believe that Girona will labour since the start of the season till this very moment to remain in the top three of the Spanish La Liga standings and not give their all to make sure they finish the season in the top four of the league table. The fight for who finishes the season in the top four is in the top gear at the moment but considering how impressive Girona have been since the start of the season, I expect them to fight with everything in them to finish in spot that'll guarantee them UEFA Champions League football next season

Basically, of course Girona will still make their best efforts to maintain theirposition in the top four but I guess, sometimes even though the team has made good efforts too but bad results can still occur any time. Therefore, although greatefforts have been made but if at the same time they are in badluck, then ofcourse defeat is also difficult to avoid. But anyway, about Girona next match against Atletico and although Girona lost but still, the fact is that Girona still has a better point advantage compared to Atletico. So yes, even though if Girona lost by Atletico, but of course Girona will still remain in third place and I think Girona is still fairly safe to still finish in the top four.

I am quite pessimistic about Girona being able to regain second place from Barcelona, I see this realistically as the two teams currently competing between Girona and Barcelona have differences in performance.
Girona's performance has declined so much compared to the start of the season that I think it will be quite difficult for them to regain second place from Barcelona. Maybe the reality now is for Girona to maintain their position and be able to finish in the top 4 to get a ticket to the UCL season. front, I think that's enough for them.
