Hansi Flick and Carlo Ancelotti was overhyped this season, why? Because they made good signings for their perspective clubs and keen on winning this particular trophy, forgetting about the formulated tactics of Diego Simeone who have also been in this game for longterm, he's obliged to elevate the team's standards.
How did Flick make good signings this season? He only got Olmo who is currently struggling to be registered with La liga. He has had to use kids to play most part of the season and he's done relatively well with what he's got so ai don't agree that he was overhyped. Nobody even expected him to do so well in the short term considering he signed only one player.
Even Ancelotti got only Mbappe, despite losing Kroos. Of all the three managers, Simeone is the manager who signed the most players and spent the most money, so I don't agree with what you say.
In my opinion, Barcelona and Real Madrid slacked that's why Atletico is at the top. I'm not saying they don't deserve it but if Barcelona has not lost form and lost so many matches, I think they could have been at the top with 9 points difference if not more.
When Atletico and Barcelona played, due to the wastefulness of Barcelona, they lost that game, not because ATM played exceptionally well.
I agree that they can win the league this season, but its only because the other 2 teams are not in a good form, if they both pick up form this second half of the season, I don't think Atletico will see 2nd position at the end of the season.
