Glad to see that joselu is starting to see if he will be worthy enough to be on real madrid. I hope ancellotti will consider making him as a permanent player in real madrid. he was not young anymore but he is still having good spirit and performance for real madrid.

He has been scoring for madrid against getafe which is very good. I think that he deserves a spot in the main squad even though sometimes he seems being abandoned.

It is of course not impossible for Atletico Madrid to close that gap and take Girona's position soon, but I think it is not likely. After watching Joselu play today, I can say he did alright even though he is very dramatic at falls on every touch from opposition players but he did get the goals which were the only things that separated Madrid from Getafe tonight. I have only seen Joselu play a few times amd on those occasions, his performance were quite alright. I have zero complaints. But for the striker position, he is a much better option compared to Rodygo imo.

Also, I'm looking forward to that Real Madrid vs Girona game on 10th February — it would fun to watch because whoever wins might end up winning the La liga title, who knows.

I don’t think that will be possible, even though we know that Girona might win their next match against Real Sociedad. I don’t think they will have the point to come back to the top of the table because their last meeting with Real Sociedad ended in a 1-1 draw, and everyone knows that Real Sociedad is also trying their best.

So to me, I think it will be very hard for Girona to come back to the top of the table. And their match against Real Sociedad might even end in a draw also, which we know that Real Madrid still have a game to play against Atletico Madrid, and I don’t think Atletico Madrid can win Real Madrid, so thinking about Girona at the top of the table is something that will be hard to happen.

With this recent Real Madrid form, I don't think the bitter rivals Atlético Madrid stand a chance. Yes, they may have eliminated Real Madrid from the Copa del Rey at the Wanda Metropolitano but at Real Madrid's backyard -  Santiago Bernabéu, the hosts will be looking to seek out serious revenge.

Real Madrid have really done it and obtained a really nice advantage in the league standings. It was Joselu's day today at the same time. These two goals scored by him must be good enough to improve his self confidence. However it wouldn't still be easy for him to be a regular in the starting 11.

Personally I find Rodrygo more reliable than Joselu. I respect Joselu's effort but I don't think he is quality enough to be a regular starter for Real Madrid.  

Yes, the bookmakers turned out to be right (and I wasn’t, damn how many predictions for Real’s 3-0 victory I’ve already burned), but I wouldn’t say that it was logical - Real missed too many scoring opportunities for the 2-0 score to be considered “fair”. I’ll have to look at the expected goals statistics in this game later, I’m sure it’s more than 3.
Joselu scored a double, now he has 7 goals in La Liga, very good, I remember how he complained in an interview that he was suffering greatly from the fact that he could not be as effective as he should be in Real Madrid. I hope this gives him confidence.

Now Joselu knows what it means to play for the best attacking club in the world. Real Madrid really had to rely on his goals to see them win this game tonight. He hasn't been much of whatever we expected of him this season since he joined Real Madrid. Jude Bellingham has helped converted the goals he should have. Barcelona travels to Alaves and hopefully they'll try to win that game. Games on the road anf at home haven't gone well for them.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid all had matches against lower teams and they all had the 3 points.. The goal difference is just 1 to show how competitive these matches are except Real Madrid where they scored two goals to 0 and killed the game literally.

Girona should win next game against Real Sociedad and wait for Real Madrid to drop points against Atletico Madrid to claim the first spot eventually.
