In comparison to Las Palmas and Granada, Alaves had to go through a complicated process to qualify for the Laliga this season, but with their present results, they appear to be more successful because they aim to stay in the Laliga and avoid relegation.

Xavi is doing something that is systematic change, and I feel like that is going to take some time and requires the team to get some adjustments to it, and because of that we are going to end up seeing it change a lot, and may have some hard times. Just because they won it last year doesn't mean that they are going to keep winning neither, it is going to end up changing a lot until they find the perfect balance, last year was pure talent, this year it will be the strategy that makes them win.

In fact, Alaves had to go through the play offs first to be promoted to LaLiga this season. Also, if we compare with Granada who won the LaLiga2 title last season, and Las Palmas who became the runner up. Barcelona team is in very good form in La Liga. Having won the title last season and this season the team will be looking to do well in La Liga as well as the Champions League due to which they have added several new players to the team.

If it is about performance from this two teams, I don’t always think too much about their success in the league. They also face hard time like other teams but it does not always affect them too much to the depth that they won’t be able to compete for the title race. The title race always remains between the two of them and sometimes Atletico Madrid also tries their best but not as much as the two of them do compete with each other. Their lack of consistency maybe in the defence or attacking line won’t be a big issue for them because it can easily be fixed between now and their next match which I am certain they will both perform better and excellently well.

Ronald Araujo's absence due to injury, and Christensen's inconsistency in several matches, plus, Xavi is still trying to play his second tier players such as Sergi Roberto, making Barcelona's defense a little slack. In the end, in four matches they also conceded four goals. Of course, Xavi has work to do to improve his defensive line, and fortunately Barcelona now has Joao Cancelo. Real madrid looked like a solid club but you forgot that if real madrid can only rely upon benzema at this moment. None of player in the club who would able to play as good as him at this moment.

This season doesn't seem to be much different from the previous season in La Liga because the three teams you mentioned will always be seen at the top of the standings from the start of the season to the end of the season even though several other teams might make unexpected surprises. But other teams than the three teams you mentioned will only fight for one of the places in the UCL zone because the other three places are more likely to belong to the three teams you mentioned. Although this season I really want to see another team capable of disrupting these three teams in the top standings.

Real Madrid next opponent is Real Sociedad in La Liga, while in the UCL group phase Ancelotti squad will face Union Berlin. Barcelona and Real Madrid have problems in different positions, Real Madrid has not found a suitable player to replace Benzema, Ancelotti can only rely on Vinicius as the main striker but he is currently injured. Barcelona's defense is not yet completely unified, they have not found their best form like last season, but Xavi has enough players to carry out several experiments to find good connections between the defenders.

There is still time for Real Madrid and Barcelona to improve.
