Can Atletico Madrid really improve this season? This is one of the topics I'm curious about. It is really important for Simeone's future with this team as well. If we see a similar performance this season as well then the board might not want to extend Simeone's contract. They should be able to stay in the title race somehow.

In the same way I hope to see them achieving a decent success in the Champions League as well. I already see them in last 16. However I think they should be able to reach at least the quarter finals. If they have a solid season like this then I'm pretty sure Simeone would be kept by them.

Atletico Madrid are good in starting well, but once the season get to the middle then you will begin to see them reducing points that will make them not to recover till the end of the tournament. I think they started with some new strategies, which if they can maintain this new strategies through out the tournament, they will make a good record from champions league and la Liga league competition because it look like their coach has discovered their mistakes that is making them not to display well at the end of the tournament. I think the season is still new for someone to predict for Atletico Madrid to reach quarter finals, because there are many teams that are well prepared to dominate through out the season to frustrate some teams in this season.

Real Madrid's performance is not as poor as we expected to see from Real Madrid without Benzema. It is true that Real Madrid have some weaknesses in attack. However, since Bellingham is performing well, the weaknesses of the attack are not yet understood. If Bellingham performs poorly in a match, perhaps Madrid will understand the weakness of the squad.

Real Madrid lose Benzema. Vinicius is out of the squad due to injury. Both of these players have consistently performed well in Real Madrid's attack last season. So without these two players, Madrid's attack is likely to be weaker now. Also Luka Modrich is old enough. He probably won't be on the field for the full 90 minutes. So Madrid's attacking performance will now depend on Bellingham, Joselu and Roadyrgo. Madrid's next match is against Sociedad. Winning this match is challenging for Madrid.

It's not a situation that can last forever for Real Madrid without a strong striker who scores goals at full speed. He can run for cover but when the game gets tough between the Champions League and the Championship he will be in extreme difficulty, you'll see if I'm not wrong.
They need good attacker like Osimhen
Victor Osimhen is one of the best strikers at the moment but maybe Real Madrid don't have this star in their plans at the moment.

Real Madrid have needed a main striker since Karim Benzema left but Real Madrid are in no rush to sign a main striker they are just waiting for a good quality striker. Real Madrid can sign any striker they want but Real Madrid does not sign all players. Real Madrid contracts players who can play a major role for Real Madrid as well as benefit the club financially.
The way Real Madrid have set up their squad, even if their club is without a main striker this season, this team will do well in the Champions League and LaLiga. If I'm not mistaken I believe Real Madrid is only waiting for Mbappe.
They may wait one more season for Mbappe and if Mbappe extends his contract with PSG after one more season, Real Madrid will take another striker and if Mbappe does not extend his contract with PSG, then Real Madrid will sign Mbappe anyway.

I understand what you mean, but he needs a striker now and not in a season
It could be really dangerous to play like this without anyone in charge

maybe they are secretly negotiating with a great striker, and we obviously don't know it

I also think Girona's excellent performance will not last long. However, the way Girona have performed in four matches is absolutely commendable. Their defense is very strong. But their attack is not strong enough. This team conceded only 2 goals in four matches. If the defense is strong, this team has the potential to stay on top of the table for a long time. But the main problem is that teams like Girona lack consistency in performance. However, I think we will see Girona finish in the top 6 of the table this season unless their performance drops too much. Girona team is performing much better than teams like Real Betis, Villarreal or Real Sociedad. This team should not be overlooked this season.
Since their current manager Míchel arrived to this team Girona has good progress that it took only 1 season for Míchel to bringing Girona to got promoted on season 2021 from segunda division and last season too Míchel can able to bringing Girona to survive in this competition even last season Girona can able to finish at 10th places which is this is one of their best position during their participant on Laliga and now they starting the league with impressive performance even they can occupy 2nd position

I know most people will doubt Girona will be able to managed their consistency because Girona status as mediocre team in Laliga and indeed it is almost impossible for them to compete with big teams such as Barcelona, Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid but at least they have good chances to repeat their last season achievement and since pre season matches Girona status is still unbeatable and during pre season tour too they can able to beat strong team Lazio and draw from Napoli and their upcoming opponent is Granada and if Girona can managed their consistency i think it's not hard to beat Granada

Girona's performance this season has surprised me. This team is now at the second place in the points table . We don't usually think of Girona as a strong team.  And in the last season too, the team finished tenth in the table. However girona played very well in the first four matches. Despite drawing the first match, Girona won the next three matches. Girona picked up points against the likes of getafe, Real sociedad and sevilla . These opponents are not too weak. Girona's defense is very strong.  In these four matches they have scored 7 goals, but conceded only two goals. Girona's performance is very stable due to their strong defense. My guess is that Girona will stay in the top four of the table for quite some time.
Yes, that was a great start for Girona and of course, that result will keep Girona in the top four at least for the next few weeks. What's more, in the next match Girona will play away but only against promoted team Granada. So yea, then surely Girona will still be able to guarantee three points in the next away match against Granada. Of course, it will be interesting to see Girona abilities, to what extent Girona will be able to stay in the top four. Because basically Girona is just a mediocre team, and in consideration also Girona will not be able to last long in the top four, but who knows.
Maybe Girona will stay there for a few more weeks, but that is not going to be the case after a while. I bet that they are not going to be good enough on the long run and we are going to end up seeing them not do that much. I think it's quite important to make sure that we are not doing anything that is profitable, and the reality is that we are talking about something that will benefit us.
The reality is that we will do something that will make sure that it is not doing that weirdly and it should be helpful for them if they keep getting more defensive. Girona already did some fine games so far, but that is not something they can keep up for 30 more games, so defensive would be the solution to keep it going for them.

I also think Girona's excellent performance will not last long, however the way they have performed in four matches is absolutely commendable. Their defense is very strong, but their attack is not strong enough. I can see this team conceded only 2 goals in four matches. If the defense is strong, they have the potential to stay on top of the table for a long time.

But the main problem is that teams like Girona lack consistency in performance.  However i think we will see Girona finish in the top 6 of the table this season unless their performance drops too much. Actually they are performing much better than teams like Real Betis, villarreal or real sociedad. This team should not be overlooked this season.

Of course I agree with that, but currently I don't know who is a great striker who is worthy of replacing Benzema in the team when Real Madrid only has Joselu as a center forward. I know Real Madrid can bring in the players they are looking for, but so far they haven't done so and have chosen to withdraw from the transfer market.

I think it is a well known fact that Real Madrid did not spend heavily on a striker this summer because they are waiting to sign talisman Mbappe from PSG in the next summer transfer window. and this is why Joselu was signed as a stop gap. Instead, Madrid invested in their midfield options heavily; as they prepare to let go of Modric and Kroos in the coming season.
Ancelotti and Real Madrid management know what they have to do in this transfer window and there is no doubt about their performance so far. Midfield improvement is an important part of what they have to do first and they are recruiting players who can be projected for the long term.

For the stickers I'm sure they will get Mbappe without having to spend any money because Mbappe will be available as a free transfer next season. For this season real madrid still has several players who can be relied on enough to score goals even though their status is not a sticker. Like bellingham in continuing to contribute by scoring goals in every game.

I think more than anything Real Madrid improved their midfielder by hiering players like Jude Bellingham.
Real Madrid lost Benzema and I thought this team would have problems this season because of not hiring a forward like him, especially when Mbappe didn't join Real Madrid but Ancelotti was experienced enough and he had a good plan to cover the empty places by using players like Bellingham.
Real Madrid have lost Karim Benzema and brought another great midfielder to their squad. While Real Madrid's new midfielder, he has performed brilliantly in every match since the start of the season. Jude Bellingham is one of the best players in Real Madrid right now. When Real Madrid signed a new player after losing Karim Benzema, Real Madrid's stars were almost empty, but after Jude Bellingham joined, Real Madrid improved again. Jude Bellingham is a smart player who has performed well in every game for Madrid and has earned a record for his goals in every game in the new season. However, this season Real Madrid has become much stronger only because of this great midfielder while Jude Bellingham has been applying enough experience for Madrid. It is true that Real Madrid got a new midfielder by losing Karim Benzema and now Madrid have improved only for Jude Bellingham.

Real Madrid have strengthened all their positions but they have only left the main striker position empty as they might be waiting for Mbappe as they plan to sign Mbappe from PSG next season. If they can get one of the best strikers by waiting a season, they should wait a season. Real Madrid is one of the best teams in Europe, so they must employ the best players in the best positions. If they want to sign Mbappe next season then investing money behind the striker this season will not be a good decision for Real Madrid which is why they are waiting for Mbappe. Imagine how much stronger Real Madrid's striking position would be if Mbappe joined Real Madrid.
The vacancy in the Striker position due to being too confident in being able to bring in Mbappe in the last transfer market, Real Madrid is too focused on Mbappe and they are very confident that they can bring him in, especially since the relationship between Mbappe and PSG is increasingly fractious, making Real Madrid not look for other alternatives. Real Madrid will have to spend a large amount of money if they want to bring in Mbappe next season.
Real Madrid's back line and midfield are very solid, they only need the support of a top striker to complete their squad. I think money is no problem for Real Madrid, but the current conditions make Real Madrid very vulnerable to achieving maximum results, player injuries are one of the problems that can affect Real Madrid's performance, as has just happened to Vinicius.

If Mbappe wants to come to Real Madrid, then Real Madrid will sign Mbappe with Real Madrid for any amount. Real Madrid is waiting for Mbappe only this season but it is not like that. In the previous two seasons we have seen Real Madrid waiting for Mbappe but because of Mbappe the deal was not completed with Real Madrid. Real Madrid's deal with Mbappe is likely to be completed next season. Because Mbappe has told PSG that he will not extend his contract with PSG, it is understood that his next destination may be a top club, in which case Real Madrid may be his best choice. Mbappe has been a very consistent performer for PSG over the past few seasons but despite such consistent performances, he has yet to achieve anything personal. Mbappe needs to come to Real Madrid even if it is to achieve something personal.

The whole team of Real Madrid is very strong. The only weakness in their squad is their lack of experienced strikers. Even so, Madrid have been able to perform very well without an experienced striker so far. Because Bellingham is in great form and scoring a lot of goals. But he is basically a midfielder. So Bellingham shouldn't be expected to play well and score goals on a regular basis. Madrid need to find an experienced striker. Also now Vinicius is injured. Without Vini in the squad, Madrid's attacking performance will be further weakened. Moreover, as Madrid look to continue their good performances in the Champions League, it will be much more difficult without the experienced striker. There is no doubt that Ancelotti's match strategy is good. However, it is essential to have an experienced striker in the squad if we want to continue to perform consistently well on a platform like the Champions League.

According to a report from Marca, Villarreal is now trying to consider Raul to replace the coaching position left by Setien. Currently Raul is a coach at Real Madrid Castilla and of course if Raul accepts an offer from Villarreal then the Real Madrid academy will lose a coach and also a club legend. But this will also be a new journey for Raul as coach of a team in higher competitions with Villarreal. As one of the great players and also a Spanish legend, Raul's quality cannot be doubted, but could he be a good coach with Villarreal? We should wait for news of developments later.
That's good news for King Raul, he can coach a club in Spain highest division. Villarreal is also not a weak club, I think King will consider that. Although previously it was reported that Raul rejected Leeds United proposal, but for Villarreal there is a possibility he will accept. In my opinion he has to show his qualities as a coach in La Liga if want to coach of Real Madrid, because reportedly that man really wants to become the head coach of Real Madrid.
That's right, this is a golden opportunity for Raul to prove his skills as a coach in the La Liga first team and reportedly if Raul agrees to become Villarreal coach, Real Madrid will appoint Alvaro Arbeloa as his replacement. I don't think there's anything wrong with trying new challenges and if Raul really wants to be Real Madrid coach one day then he has to start moving now. Moreover, his former teammate at Real Madrid, Xabi Alonso, is predicted to be Ancelotti's successor starting next season, so we can see that there will be competition in the future for the main place as Real Madrid coach.

Vaccinized.. immunity level is full.
-snip-

I had no doubts, Benzema Karim is a great player without a doubt but Real Madrid, which is a great team, can very well replace him with other young strikers that they have in their squad.
He could even take someone from the spring and have him play in the big league, its not a possibility to be discarded.
I hope there is a new signing for the center forward position in the next transfer window, it will make this team stronger until the end of the season even though there is no guarantee that Real Madrid can win the title this season.
To be honest a decent candidate to replace the centre-forward position was harry kane in my opinion but that didn't happen and Kane entered bayern munchen, Who could really replace benzema as a centre-forward today?, looks like Real madrid didn't find him which made them resign transfer market, maybe Haaland can be a viable candidate if they are able and Haaland is willing to fight for laliga, but maybe it's next season although the chances are very slim.
Yes, those two are worthy replacements for Benzema, Haaland and Kane in terms of potential and value, but they weren't made for Real Madrid. LOL
Madrid is still doing quite well at the start of the season, and so far they have been consistent with their wins. If this continues, of course their chances of winning are also quite large, even though they only rely on Joselu.

Harry Kane was an excellent striker. Real Madrid made no effort to sign Kane. Maybe they could have succeeded if they tried to bring Kane into the team. 100 million is not a lot of money for Madrid.

Madrid's chances of getting Haaland into the squad are slim. Haaland is performing very well with Manchester City. And he is happy with this team. Why Haaland leave Manchester City for no reason? I would say that as long as Guardiola is the coach of Manchester City, Haaland will not even think about leaving Manchester City.

Madrid will likely try to sign Mbappe next season. But nothing is certain about Mbappe. He could renew his contract with PSG again. And so Madrid should try to bring Osimhen into the team. Osimhen is a fantastic player. He has the ability to score a lot of goals.

Villarreal is trying to find another coach this season and they are targeting some coaches. Raúl González is the closest option for Villarreal in this season and they sent him an offer. Raúl is currently working on the second team of the Real Marid.
He had offers from Frankfurt, Schalke, and Leeds in the past but he rejected all these offers and now it seems Raul is going to work in Villarreal and take Quique Setién's place in this team.

In football, changing of coaches is not really good,it hasn't been long they brought in this one,and they are now thinking of sacking him, that means they lack patience, they don't believe in this man,and then one will start to think of the reason they hired him when they knew they weren't going to give him time to to prove himself.
It is that same thing that Chelsea are passing through now, they sacked the man that won the UEFA Champions league for them, and brought in someone who isn't good enough, just because Tuchel wanted to change his pattern of play, and also wanted his new players to blend with the old ones, and because the result they wanted weren't coming at that time, they sacked him,and since then, they haven't seen any coach that would be like him.
Same thing is happening to Villareal now. They need to give the man time before sacking him.

Although they need a lot of time to make their squad more balanced, but what they are doing now looks to be going in the right direction. First, they brought in a midfielder who we all know that it won't be long before they may be without their 2 mainstay midfielders, secondly, they are holding back a bit from making a big transfer in the next season. Although it doesn't guarantee that they will actually get it, but their current steps lead to it, so it is natural that many of us are speculating like this.
As for Joselu, I see him as a player who I honestly see as their experimental tool, which when he plays really well is good for them, and even if he doesn't they have anticipated this.

The problem in the striker position has not been resolved in the Real Madrid squad, after releasing many players in the transfer market including Benzema, they have not found the ideal replacement to fill his position. The injury that recently befell Vinicius Junior forced Ancelotti to install Joselu as the main striker. Joselu was clearly not Real Madrid mainstay and was not included in Real Madrid long-term plans. Real Madrid worries were relieved a little by the impressive appearance of Jude Bellingham, he has always been the hero of Real Madrid's victories since he was brought in from Dortmund.

Real Madrid's midfield is starting to solidify with a combination of young players, the roles of Toni Kroos and Modric are starting to be replaced by the presence of Bellingham, Camavinga, Tchouameni and several other young players. However, Real Madrid must prioritize bringing in classy striker to maintain the sharpness of their front lines. The failure to bring in Mbappe made Real Madrid a little disappointed, but they still have the opportunity to bring him in next season if the offer is higher than before.

Madrid have to be very careful because these decisions might hunt them later on this season. The season is very long and a lot of things can happen. One thing I know is Bellingham won't keep scoring all season long and they need attackers that can score all season long.
Joselu needs to sit up and take his place as the top 9. He can't be ina team and a midfielder is taking the false 9 position.

Madrid's attack is built around Vinicius which might also be a problem. Last season Vini spearheaded the attack, the good this was Benzema was there to score. If they don't have a striker that can do that this season, they're going to have a lot problems.

A better strategy was implemented by Ancelotti at the start of this season. Where he succeeded in bringing big changes to Real Madrid game in the form of a new formation. I admit that Bellingham is not just a midfielder, but he seems to have found a new position to become a more aggressive sticker in scoring goals.

Bellingham has scored consecutive goals in 4 matches at the start of this season. He deserves to be in the spotlight to be made into a single sticker if possible. Btw we will see the match this week where Real Madrid will face Real Sociedad at the Bernabeu stadium. I would say that Bellingham will score another goal in this match because he is so eager to keep doing it.

That might be true only if mbappe does not extend his contract in PSG for another year but what if mbappe does U turn to extend his contract? Real madrid is not always putting its focus on mbappe. There have been so many important things than mbappe like renovating its stadion with very big budget. Just because it was spending small amounts of money didn't mean if it will always be related to the mbappe. Madrid needs to control its money efficiently.

The club was under 1 billion debt after it has been taking such debt to renovating its stadium. It's another big project owned by madrid. Buying mbappe without calculation will be only increasing its salary cap and madrid is gonna face trouble like barcelona

and this is why Joselu was signed as a stop gap. Instead, Madrid invested in their midfield options heavily; as they prepare to let go of Modric and Kroos in the coming season.
Joselu was an alternative for benzema. He has performed so well last season in espanyol. He was also very cheap. Madrid got two advantages at the same time by recruiting him to the club.

Madrid already had great midfielders before Bellingham came, but they don't need someone as versatile as him..

I have no doubt in Real Madrid ability this season even as the club faces some early challenges in this season,  what most of the speculators and football analysts failed to know is that just because a perceive big players in out of the team doesn't mean they team will not have a better replacement,  just as mentioned even though Benzema is out of the team because of injury there will be another replacement for him that will deliver for the club in coming matches.

Let's see how Real Madrid handles all of this,  and from the result of their upcoming matches, we will know what awaits the club going forward.
In fact, Real Madrid still has no top striker who can replace Benzema, right? Although they have Bellingham, he can't play as a striker, he is an attacking midfielder. So, we can understand if people doubt with Real Madrid. However, I appreciate if you never feel doubt, it is a good attitude if you are a real fan. But when we must think realistically, we must admit that Real Madrid may get a problem when they must play against strong teams.

So far, they won all the first 4 matches and Bellingham could score in each match. Let's see if he can do it again when Real Madrid plays against Atletico Madrid in matchday 6 and Barcelona in matchday 11. If Real Madrid won all these matches and Bellingham still can contribute well, we can ensure that Real Madrid is no problem without a top striker.

If we start looking at all the many disabilty with Real Madrid or any other clubs in this season then it means we are not open up to possibilities from the younger players that are on the line up,  and what we must know is that,  be for Benzema or all the other top players got to the level where they are they were given chances to prove themselves and this is an opportunity to the young players who will be taking their position to show case the stuffs their made of and if luck be on their side to create any record it will be to their own advantage even more than for the club..

But even no matter how Real Madrid lacks strikers, they are still very much grounded to be able to take on any possible opposition in this season.
