How could you say it is not important for Real Madrid to finish the second place, they have lost the second place that has been given then peace to Atletico Madrid, and Real Sociedad they lost to in their last match is right below them with seven points, they need only 2 wins of matches to renew their hope of finishing third while Real Madrid fight to qualify for the champions League next year and it wouldn't be a good stepping stone for them in the next season.

Espanyol, Getafe, Valencia, Cadiz, Almeria and Valladolid are all likely to struggle to secure one place in La Liga next season. All of these teams are still very likely to be teams that will be relegated at the end of the season, but I really don't believe Valencia will be one of them later. Valencia had some very difficult match towards the end of the season, so they will very likely drop some points especially against Real Madrid and Real Betis. But anyway, Valencia is a team that will probably stay in La Liga, that is my hope for them.

Obviously getting at least one cup is better than not having any cup. But out in semi-finals of UCL, be third in the league and then win the cup doesn't really sound like a good season to be fair.

They should be at least second without a doubt in the league, they can't be passed by ATM, they have to stop that from happening and that's one good thing, they HAVE TO win the cup, at least bring in a cup for the season, and then if possible they should be getting UCL as well, I mean that one is the hardest so it could be understood if they can't but if they do end up beating City, then they could beat whoever wins Inter-Milan series as well, they are definitely good enough to beat them. I need to say that it would be a good idea to do that for sure.
