I don't think it's necessary, though. I don't know how their financial situation stands, but they were pretty constrained at the beginning of the campaign. In fact, if they win the la Liga, the gamble to sign various players in the last transfer window even with little money will have paid off.

I doubt that the proximity of Atlético somehow excites Real Madrid. La Liga is already wasted tournament - they lost the title and received a ticket to the Champions League for next year, there is nothing more to worry about. I'm not even sure that Real Madrid cares much about the Copa del Rey final on May 6th, as given the status of the opponent, the result looks a foregone conclusion. The only task now is the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Espanyol missed the momentum they had created and their focus was blown as the game entered a crucial moment which Villarreal put to good use.
It was really an interesting match but on the other hand Villarreal really deserved a win like this especially with the possession of the ball and the chances they created indeed they worked hard in this game.

I was quite surprised after writing the post above that Villarreal immediately turned things around to 3-2. However, it seems that Villarreal is not quite sure about the difference in their advantage and in injury time, Capoue scored an additional goal while closing the score 4-2 for Villarreal's victory. This is a good result considering they really need these full points to continue to compete with other teams. For Espanyol it looks like it will be increasingly difficult for them to get away from the relegation zone this season, moreover they haven't won in the last 8 matches they have played including this match.

I wonder what kind of plans Barcelona have for next season. As they are really close to declaring their La Liga title for this season people will eye them the most for next one. Xavi has been doing a really good job in the La Liga so far however his main problem has been with the Champions League. Because Barcelona still can't give the expected performance to their supporters. The board must also be very unsatisfied with this poor effort there. It has been the case for two seasons which is another problem for the team.

Barcelona's defeat yesterday, in my opinion, was only part of make the competition at the top of the standings even more interesting, I'm not sure there will be a change in positions one and two.

Forget about the title race between Barcelona and Real Madrid, I think the competition is over this season considering that La Liga only leaves 7 match unplayed. Barcelona still leads the La Liga standings with an 11-point lead over Real Madrid, of course it is a safe point to expect the Catalan team to be able to win La Liga this season after being absent for 3 consecutive seasons.

Xavi is likely to secure his first La Liga title as Barcelona coach, he is ever closer to a success as a coach that will be reckoned with in the coming seasons. His qualities have been credited with being a great player, but his relatively recent coaching career will be recognized if he wins the La Liga title. This is Barcelona's best season in La Liga, they are the team with the strongest defense in Europe until Week 31. Conceding 11 goals in 31 match is a source of pride, not usual season for Barcelona.

Tonight game very incredible, I mean not only Villarreal but Valencia they have almost the same situation they lost at halftime and won at the end. The extra time gave Valencia a goal, making it a 2-1 victory over Real Valladolid. It was a wonderful extra-minute goal by Guerra that lifted Valencia out of the relegation zone. With a 2-1 victory over Real Valladolid, they earned the three points necessary to move up from position 18 to the 16th position of the Laliga standings. With 33 points from their 31 games played, Valencia has at least managed to stay above the relegation zone with this victory. Congratulations to them.

Barcelona suffered an unnecessary defeat. Still, Real Madrid has thrown away the title this year is my feeling. Barcelona is 11 points ahead, not because they played so great themselves or won a lot. They also really owe a lot to Real Madrid, which failed to win many games and often suffered unnecessary defeat. But maybe it is also good for Spanish football that Barcelona now takes the title, because it was already a few seasons ago. Capoue scored two goals this evening to keep their three points at home. ESP were pressurizing Villa real at the towards the end of the game,but Capoue came from behind after a corner kick with a superb shot to seal up the victory for his side on the 92nd minutes of the extra time over ESP. He started the scoring and ended it,what a great day for him.

ESP is facing difficulties in the club and this is leading to their poor performance. This season they have won 6 matches, 10 draws and 14 lost.

What do you think about Lewandowski's performance this season? Honestly it is difficult not to see the difference between his scoring effort between the previous and this season. He finished the previous one with 50 goals at Bayern Munich but now he has scored around the half of it only. There is a big gap obviously. But I assume one thing has been really effective in this look: consistency.

Because Lewandowski was actually consistent at the beginning of the season. But after some time passed some problems about this started to be seen. He passed many matches without scoring a single goal. I remember him even having difficulties in scoring in big matches mostly. I'm not saying that this effort is bad but I just wanted to show the big difference.

I have always hard hopes in villareal since the beginning of the La liga season and this is good enough to see that villareal was able to end the match in a draw despite falling behind in the beginning of the game but they were able to match it up in the second half of the game.

I am a little bit ok with the draw result recorded in the match, even though Espanyol we're relatively foreseeable in their attack but still villa team were able to stop them from making more goals attempts.
