I knew Sevilla would get better when they somehow drew Man United in the first leg of the Europa league.
I didn't expect them to be the better team in terms of possession. Villareal is clearly a better team than Sevilla currency so its only normal that they have most of the ball.
Sevilla played well today, all things considered. They managed to take the lead in the first half and take the lead a second time in the added minutes of the game.
This win takes them to 12th position. Considering how low on the table they were at a certain point this season, this is pretty impressive.

It's quite interesting because actually I didn't watch after the 90 minutes of normal time ended because I felt the score would only be a draw in this match, but indeed the late goal from Youssef En-Nesyri at 90+4 really made Sevilla get 3 points at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.
Looks like for the End of the season Sevilla got their spirit back after beating Manchester United and are in the Europa League semi-finals now they are back to getting 3 points and keeping them away from the zone which is not very comfortable for them.

Sevilla keeps winning games and they did again tonight against a strong opponent like Villareal,they are well over the relegation zone which just 3-4 weeks before they were near it but since this 1 month they have been playing great football.I knew there were going to be at least 3 goals tonight yet I was scared and I clicked on cash out in my bet below as I thought it won't come true.Sometimes patience pays off but I am not that patient person as I did not have money to play tomorrow so I cashed out the bet.I think that Sevilla now is in a great shape and for the Europa League where they have excelled in winning it more than any other team maybe they are going to win it again this year as chances are there.

I think you are wrong, Xavi actually expected 3 points against Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou. You may realize that there is prestige to be observed between the two teams, and most importantly Barcelona's home record this season has been the focus until the end of the season. Xavi considers the match against Atletico Madrid important especially after drawing two matches in a row. Barcelona did not want to give Real Madrid many opportunities to reduce the point difference, so Xavi had to play his best players.

Xavi also knows and may have received permission to play De Jong and Pedri in the match against Atletico Madrid today. I don't care anymore how many scores Barcelona can score in every game the rest of the season, but I just tend to be happy when Barcelona drop points and give us a little hope to compete until the end of the season. But I no longer expect a rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona in La Liga, so shifting his focus to the Champions League or the Copa Del Rey is much more important to me.

Barcelona won't slip or drop many points in the next 8 matches, so my hopes for Real Madrid should be gone. I can say that Real Madrid's chances of winning the La Liga title this season are impossible as long as Barcelona are still 11 points ahead of us.

Still 8 games to play, on paper that is still quite a lot, but there is no longer any tension for the title. After the winter break, Barcelona really got ahead of Real Madrid, while I have not had the impression that Barcelona played games at a very high level or that they were really that much better than Real Madrid. Barcelona just did what it had to do, beat almost everyone and keep things closed at the back. Real Madrid has played with an open house too many times this season.
