Espanyol getting three point doesn't sound impossible. Cadiz on the other seems to have better stats than Espanyol, They were able to defeat Real Betis in the second game before the last one where they lost to Madrid. Still i don't see Cadiz as much of a treat to Espanyol today. Since Espanyol is the desperate side here they will do everything to get the three points.

That's too early for a final judgment even if they lose the game against Cadiz. Does it make their situation any better? Truly not, but are they dead in the water if they lose tomorrow? No, there are still 8 games to go afterwards and the thing is that the table standings are very close in the Primera Division this year. Sevilla is probably alright, but starting with Valladolid and going all the way down, none of those clubs can consider themselves safe yet.

Valencia's game is no more less important and Elche is indeed dead in the water, but Valencia will probably have trouble even beating them. And it doesn't stop there of course, there are intense games almost every week where teams meet for whom there is something on the line.

The top of the table is only interesting when it comes to the 4th rank in my opinion.

But for the head to head these two teams are actually quite even and in my opinion if there is a chance Espanyol will risk everything to be able to get an additional 3 points in this match. Maybe I will bet on the option under 2.75 goals by looking at these two teams it looks like both of them will play very carefully so they don't concede more goals.

If I were a fan, I would be all for their strategy. Don't play embarrassing soccer in La Liga, but save your energy for the serious games in the other competitions.

This had an impact from the beginning where they were too stubborn not to want to bring in strikers and new defenders (Fullbacks) in this season's transfers which made when several of their players were injured their condition was greatly reduced and poor results continued to haunt them.
Now La Liga seems like an impossibility and it would be wise to risk everything on the Champions League and Copa del Rey especially since they are already in the final for the Copa del Rey and the semi-finals in the Champions League.
