Barcelona vs Getafe

Barcelona missed another chance to increase Barcelona's points gap with Real Madrid. Getafe is the 15th team in the points table and Barcelona is the number one team in the points table so Barcelona should have won the last match against Getafe. But Barcelona failed there and instead of 3 points they collected only one point. they drew this match against Getafe.

Getafe played an attacking game against Barcelona from the beginning of the game. Getafe created two chances in the 4th minute and 24th minute but failed to capitalize on them. However, Barcelona had two big chances in the first half, 25 minutes into the game when the opposition defense was empty and Raphinha went forward on the counter attack and he was able to cut short at the goal post but luck was not on their side.
"R. Lewandowski (45+2)" made a great header and the opponent's goalkeeper D. Soria saved the ball like a hawk.

Recently, Lewandowski seems to have difficulty scoring goals even though he has had many golden opportunities to score goals. I think he will have to overcome this drop in performance in the upcoming matches because Barcelona need a win to strengthen their position as a laliga Trophy winning team.

Two draws are still safe enough for Barcelona but they have to focus in the future to find a win to get back to winning ways because Barcelona only has one hope of winning a trophy, namely La Liga.

The next opponent for Barcelona is Atletico Madrid, where recently they have been performing quite well in the Laliga by recording consecutive wins.

I understand that Barcelona have a good points gap to feel safe enough but letting points disappear like that will put them in a risky situation like Arsenal in EPL. 9 matches left in La Liga and 11 points gap, that means that Barcelona have to win in 5 matches, get a draw in 1 (or 2) and lose in 2-3 matches to be declared winner regardless of Real Madrid results.

Barcelona again failed in the match against Getafe to get full points even though they were superior in possession and were able to make 15 shots but every attack they did could not be perfected into goals. score 0-0 close this match. Even though Barcelona failed to get full points, the distance between Barcelona and Real Madrid is still quite far, namely 11 points.

Sevilla got what they wanted from the game against Valencia today. The first half didn't seem like Sevilla would win this game. But here we are seeing them as the winner by 2-0.

This was a really crucial win for Sevilla about getting away from the relegation zone. After this win they are officially eight points away from the zone. I don't think they would be under the same threat again in the remaining time of the season. But this season still has been a horrible experience for Sevilla for sure. Even though for now their condition is still quite comfortable with their 11 point gap with Madrid still, if indeed they continue like this then the conditions allow Madrid to get closer even though this is a little difficult to happen but this is football when all possibilities are still there then it can be happen.
