If United don't fall into a functional hole because of their hectic schedule, they will tear Sevilla to shreds. United have dealt with the stronger Spanish teams and Sevilla will be an easy target for them. I do not think that the Sevilla players themselves have any illusions about this. The most adequate thing they can do is to concentrate on La Liga. For example, if they had won yesterday, they would have been only 3 points away from the Euro Cup zone, even for a day.
This is the weird thing about football that we will never figure out. Sevilla got a tie against Celta Vigo, provenly a team that is not at the high stages of Europe, barely a decent team in la liga if you ask me and Sevilla only managed to get a draw against them. United on the other hand is third in the premier league I think, or maybe fourth now, but basically at the top and been doing amazing this season and have much better players without a doubt, the roster is not even comparable to each other.
And yet, when it comes down to Europa, people are not entirely certain if United will be able to beat Sevilla or not, because they know that Sevilla is great at this cup and won it so many times so anything could happen.
If you remove the force majeure, then United is definitely stronger than Sevilla, and no one doubts this. The historical merit of Sevilla in this competition is great, but they do not give any advantages on the field. Bookmakers unequivocally assess the outcome of the confrontation in this pair:
To Qualify
Manchester United FC 1.18
Sevilla FC 4.50
Real have given the whole midfield a rest before the game with Chelsea, so things are not going very well with Villarreal so far. However, this is not very important and it seems to me that Real Madrid's attack will be able to tip the scales in their favor in the second half.
