Real Madrid have one match less than Barcelona and if they win it, they will be only 8 points less than Barcelona. There will be another El Classico before the season ending and if Real Madrid beat Barcelona, likely they will only have 5 points difference.

With good gap with Real Madrid, Barcelona can play and enjoy their matches. If they keep up their carefulness and good works, Real Madrid will have big challenge to equalize 8 points difference. That gap is big enough in my opinion and I think Barcelona can protect the gap well enough.

The match with a weak team like Elche is important for Real Madrid. They have an easy opponent to win and they must win if they don't want to get a 11 points or 10 points difference after the match.

Real Sociedad managed to beat the host Espanyol in the match with a score of 2-3 and at the same time maintain their position in the standings. Statistically, Sociedad was far superior and towards the end of the match Espanyol almost equalized. In extra time, Espanyol's Leandro Cabrera received a second yellow card and had to leave the game in stoppage time, a result that was not very good for Espanyol because they had to lose one of their defenders.

Of course only Real Madrid can stop them.

After Barcelona's mediocre start to the league, I wouldn't have expected them to be so good at this stage. Now all that remains is for Madrid to draw or lose at home to Elche, which would bring the gap to 9 or 12 points respectively and start to make things very difficult for Real Madrid. Although this is unlikely to happen due to the overwhelming difference between the two teams. But for the same reason, if Madrid stumble against a clearly inferior Elche, they will be tremendously demoralised.

I thought the match would be completely one-sided. Since the Real Sociedad team is much stronger than Espanyol. But the match was not one-sided. Both teams played very well. And in the last 25-30 minutes we saw some excellent attacks from the Espanyol players. Real Sociedad is very lucky to be able to get full points in this match. However, Espanyol's match strategy and overall gameplay are excellent and I think this team can maintain a safe distance from the relegation zone. Now Espanyol is 17th in the points table.

I also had a lot of faith that Real Madrid was going to win but it was not like that, Real Madrid must not allow more draws or be defeated, Ancelotti has to do something quickly, I know they are thinking about the UCL, they also have to perform in La Liga, Barcelona is on their heels and they haven't lost a game, now they have no excuses because they have their best players and what they have to do is win.

Benzema is a very good player and the team needs him, apart from Vini Jr he needs to be at 100% and Camavinga is at his best, Ancelotti must already have his best strategy ready.

Real Sociedad In last night's game against Espanyol they managed to get a win and excel with a score of 2 goals for Espanyol and 3 goals for Real Sociedad. With this match we already know that Real Sociedad have tried hard to try to get a win and the results of their hard work made Real Sociedad managed to stay in the top three at the top of the standings, the point difference from Real Madrid is only 3 points. I believe Real Sociedad still has a chance to take second place. Real Sociedad needs to keep playing well.

Games between Sociedad and Espanyol while playing at home are challenging since Sociedad hardly win there. At least they won the 3 points and moved forward to secure the 3rd position for a while.
Barcelona is securing their first spot too after a 1 goal victory vs Villarreal. Some people counted on Villareal to get points from Barca but they failed since the beginning.
Real Madrid have to win vs Elche or else the gap will be 11 points and they could say farewell to La Liga this season..

Real Sociedad had to rebel after the losses in La Liga and copa del rey, they couldn't score in three consecutive matches and they scored 3 only today, Espanyol tried but couldn't compete with them, they faced them in a bad time.

IMO, everything that's happening to Barcelona right now is because they don't have any big targets other than getting the La Liga title, as we know that they don't play in the UCL, they only play in the UEL which is a lower level of competition and has no prestige. In contrast to Real Madrid who played in various prestigious competitions, the last one was that they won the club world cup. But whatever it's, in reality Barcelona are in first place in the La Liga standings and they deserve that place ATM.

That was intense match!

But real sociedad were too strong this season for espanyol who struggling to survive in the la liga , despite a great fight of 2-3 loss to real sociedad ... they had pretty great response for every goals that the opponent side scored , they could have make it draw though.

And they really did it, and they won again, It was really natural for the to win, and on paper, they got great stats and performance in the game I think the accuracy for making goals is there and with their great defense that surely helps in not getting their opponent less scored or even scoreless is really something, but will they keep their winning status now that will be facing Athletic Club and Real Madrid next which I surely doubt for them, actually I am excited about it,

Getafe CF VS Rayo Vallecano GOAL 1 - 1 - LOST

I never thought a result like a draw could be possible but surely it is well if Rayo Vallecano is having a hard day and that day is this day for sure looking at the stats and performance stats Rayo Vallecano did great in those 19 shots from Rayo Vallecano doesn't just go into the goal and pretty much Rayo Vallecano would be thankful for Mauro Arambarri because of that Own Goal he did because after that Gatafe's Enes Unal goal tieing performance, but yah Vallcano doesn't deliver any goal at all in this game,

RC Celta de Vigo VS Atletico Madrid GOAL 0 - 1 - WIN

Now Atletico Madrid did a dominant performance while Celta Vigo got more shots and shots on target they didn't have the luck to get them in, while Atletico Madrid did 1 goal even though they only got 1 goal I think the dominant part was because of their performance towards the game

Barça were lucky in the winning over Villarreal, it was one of the tough game to watched in laliga. Both teams performance was spectacular and the players put their strength in the game. But unfortunately, Villarreal were unable to levelled the game but barça have a slight victory in the match. The bluagrana coach, Xavi Hernandez have brought good qualities from his young players, making them to play like professional in top games. However real madrid still have chance to contest for the title this season.

Yeah, I am sure that many people feel like this moreover after it seems like no hope for Sevilla before this current condition. But now, I am sure also that their club will be more motivated again to do their best and get more stories later although it may be quite difficult again because they will face Rayo Vallecano..

Real Sociedad has won with a score of 1 - 3, especially with OG from Cabrebra, Real Sociedad's position is increasingly leading in this match. And if you look at the amount of time remaining, there is a possibility that Real Sociedad will win until the end of the match, especially if they strengthen their defense.

I think Real would probably win that game, but aside from that even 8 points is too much to cover. This is of course only true as long as Barcelona keeps playing the way they are playing and it's going to be difficult for them to suddenly be worse and bad, but they could lose a few players to injury and suddenly they could be bad.

Long story short, if this goes like it is, then Barcelona is the winner for sure, but Real still has a chance with UCL so they could shift focus there, be second in the league and that's still a pretty good year. When you are a top team like that, it's really difficult to keep fans happy, they won UCL and league last year, and they are already considered "bad" this year even though they are in UCL and second in the league, they can't win everything at all times, eventually they will lose.

They were series of attempt made by espanol in the first half,  they struggle was ferrocious cuz they both need the point to attend a stable state but at this moment ,Real Sociedad seems more stronger and is favorable to win the match. Already they have registered 3 goals in less than 64 minutes with dominance in all measures of the game without conceding a single goal and that's a good way of showing winning potential

Madrid obviously have to make this a win for them, regardless of what their current condition is not very good and if they can't get points back then it will be very regrettable.
Barcelona's condition has started to move away and their opponents are not too heavy, I think, so there is indeed great hope in this match to get 3 points and keep the margin with Barcelona.

Now the second half of their match resumes with the lead having just increased to two goals for Real Sociedad, but I don't know if Espanyol will be able to equalize or get more goals against Sociedad in the second half, because in terms of the percentage of possession I look at mostly held by Real Sociedad even though this match took place at home to Espanyol. It would be very painful for Espanyol if in this match they were not able to win or at least be able to equalize their position.

Still, so far they have won 3 points and this is enough to make me angry because indeed as a Madrid supporter I hope they have bad results but indeed Pedri has again become the difference in this match and this is the third time Pedri has saved Barcelona from 1 point. I clearly didn't expect this because in fact with conditions like this now Madrid is clearly getting more difficult.

There is going to be a eight-point gap anyway between Barcelona and Real Madrid even if Real Madrid win their match against Elche in two days.

Barcelona are still maintaining their unstoppable form. The Villarreal match might have been time for Barcelona to be stopped finally. Actually Villarreal could have done it because Barcelona were struggling about playing their usual game against them. There was a quite balance in the match most of the time. But the mental condition of Barcelona players was so strong that they still managed to win by 1-0 anyway. There is a strong chemistry now after all these victories and I really don't know if any team other than Real Madrid can stop them.

Their second half was very bad, they only created 3 goal attempts and they lost the ball possession, but the most important thing is that they got the 3 points and extended the gap to 11 points, i think Barcelona is doing really great in la Liga this year and no one can stop them from getting the title in my opinion
