Cadiz were really desperate against them but still they did a great work about keeping the score at 0-0 during nearly the whole game. Sampaoli got a red card in the second half as well. After Cadiz's red card Sevilla had a big chance on a penalty as well.
Thankfully Rakitic took advantage of this chance and finally scored the winning goal of the game. Sevilla's problem was with finishing in this game otherwise they would have won this by a huge goal gap.

Being 7 points behind Real Soceidad isn't a big deal to me because they'll catch up and cover up the point difference if they keep playing and winning games like this. It has been a while that Real Sociedad does decent games and shows great football,they even beat Manchester United at home in Old Trafford last year in Europa League and this for a team like Real Sociedad can be called a truly great achievement.Also in the La Liga they are doing well from some time now but they have always not shown that consistency and quality to fight for the title maybe because of the limited budget they have compared to Barcelona and Real Madrid.I think that they can be sure that the third place is theirs,just look at their last 5 games,5 wins out of 5 games shows that they truly deserve to be there fighting although highly unlikely them to be disruptive to Real or Barcelona.

If you compare it to a player like lewandowksi indeed , but they could become an effective striker though in case lewandowski is not available , if there is no chance for xavi to sign a new striker then i think there is no choice to use ansu fati & ferran torres at the front and nothing really to worried about.

A magnificent victory that will give Real strength and self-confidence. A second loss in a row and elimination from the tournament would have been a big blow, but once again an epic comeback and Real Madrid avoided such a deep failure in such a short period of time. Simeone will be leaving at the end of the season, It has already been said. I agree with you, the team needs changes. Aside from the inconsistency, the way they play is a hindrance to them, especially against big teams. They tend to be too defensive and respect the opponent a bit too much. They are in no position to play that type of football, they have so many attacking-minded players to play football like that. I respect Simeone for all he has done for that team and he's a legend but they need some things to change, like the way they approach games.
Except he (Simeone) wants to rest for a while, finding a new job won't be a problem for him. He's a good coach but at this point in his career, pathing ways with Atletico is best for both parties.
