The match would have produced more goals if not for the wastefulness of the attackers of both sides. The league is still long, that's why it might be wrong to predict that both teams would remain in the relegation zone. If they can win few matches, which I think they can considering thier improved quality,  they might end up moving above the relegation zone.

The match between Real Madrid and Barcelona is a slight indication that the current Real team might not have the quality to win the Champions league. The Barcelona team outclassed them in all levels and it became clear that this season might be difficult for them.
