Girona were in full control of this match. They had so many goal opportunities even in the first ten minutes of the match. Sevilla scored a goal right after that suddenly. But it was still obvious after the goal that Girona had the strength to make a comeback in this. After the score came to 1-1 Sevilla also had quite many opportunities to score actually but they were really horrible. None of the shots was a threat to the Girona goalkeeper. Nianzou's big mistake in defense cost them three points as a result.

Sevilla are right above the relegation zone and I'm really worried about their possibility of relegating from the league.

The main reason is that their defense is bad, they don't have a good striker and they are also weak in midfield. That is a problem that must be addressed as best as possible if Sevilla wants to escape the relegation zone. I'm not really sure if Jorge Sampaoli is the one who will be fully responsible for this poor form, but he also has an important role to play in improving his team's current form. Sevilla lost the last match as well. I can see, right now the teams that are in the relegation zone have played one match less than them. So if the team in the relegation zone does end up winning or even drawing the next match, I am talking about Cadiz, then Sevilla is going to be once again ending up in the relegation zone.

So, I do not think this is going to change this season. They will be very happy if they just somehow avoid relegation this season and some of the finish above the 18th place.

Real Sociedad doesn't have a bad team at all. Are in third place and they are not just there. Places 1 and 2 are normally unattainable, but that team also has a completely different goal than becoming champion. Finishing 3rd would be a very nice result. Osasuna and Mallorca are currently in 9th and 10th place in the ranking, so they are not yet under any pressure for relegation. Wondering if Sevilla can pick up more points in the coming matches. They won't make it to European football anymore. Sevilla must ensure that they are safe in the competition and do not relegate, and then aim the other arrows at the EL in which they are also active.

I don't think Sevilla will be able to win this game with time left in the second half. Yes they will taste a draw in this game, and that doesn't improve their negative record this season. Failure, failure, they always feel in almost every game, they find it difficult to develop the game. Even in this game, I don't see their game growing and it's fun to watch. But at least they got 1 point which is quite important compared to the defeat.

Actually, La Liga has become a little boring these days. The only fight is going on between Real Madrid and Barcelona. It feels like the other teams are just there to participate. They are not actually achieving anything substantial. And that is taking the interest away from La Liga for most people.

Anyway, Real Sociedad is playing really well right now. And I do expect them to win against Athletic Club. I actually think the score is going to be Real Sociedad 2 : 0 Athletic Club.
