For me Chelsea do needs some big upgrade in midfield but don't see them recruiting Frankie De Jong. Chelsea are hugely in contact with Per Emerick Aubameyang who they want to lead the attacking line. Liverpool are my pick to De Jong if they really want to.

If Frankie de Jong wanted to leave Barcelona then I think he had a lot more chances before if he wanted to leave. The fact that he stayed in Barcelona after all those offers make me think that he is actually trying to stay in Barcelona. Despite the fact that he had good offers before, it seems like he really enjoys being in Barcelona now that he has arrived.

However, at the same time, I will say this, before he was being looked at by Manchester United, he was being considered by other clubs. It is Chelsea, however, that is looking for him now. What is the guarantee that something like the game against Rayo Vallecano won't happen? In my opinion, Barcelona is an unstable team and yes, they can beat Sevilla 4-0, but they can also lose or draw, so the only question is whether 1.85 is enough compensation for the risk or not.

De Jong will not leave Barcelona earlier this season, he has the will to stay and I am sure that will happen. Xavi has given him time off for a few things, but it's definitely not because he wants to move to England.

De Jong has the potential to move to the Premier League if this season he doesn't really get a place in Xavi's first squad. Pedri, Gavi and Busquets have been regular so far so Kessie and De Jong will only be substitutes. If this continues, then clearly De Jong will have to take definite steps towards his future.

De Jong is making bad decisions to my personal opinion, he had a great opportunity to go Manchester United and boost his career. It is not all about champions league, after this season Manchester United have chances of going to champions league. Chelsea also came for him, he should have moved, maybe he is regretting now and looking how to connect back to England. You have money and have playing time.
