Yeah anything is possible in football, we saw how Athletico Madrid lost the 1st half to Leganes earlier on and if not that they calmed the pressure of the game they would've either lost or draw. However, comparing both Sevilla and Barcelona a real football lover should know that Barcelona are more stronger with more better players and performance and they're a the peak at the standings whereas Sevilla have declined over the years, the only thing they could do is to try score an early goal before Barcelona, park the box and protect their goal for the rest of the match  but it's easily said than done cause Barcelona team is currently in a very good form under Hansi Flick this season and I'm pretty sure most of their players would return from the international break would return with enough energy especially Robert Lewandowski who's in a very good form despite his age, I think Barca would be victorious in this match.

I just checked the main line up of the Barcelona squad and I didn't find Wojciech Szczesny selected as goalkeeper today. Wojciech Szczesny is on the bench and Hansi Flick still seems to have full confidence in Inaki Pena Sotorres to guard Barcelona's goal. Gavi, Fermin, De Jong and Dani Olmo were also on the bench, but Hansi Flick could bring them on in the second half.

What Madrid currently has is midfielders that can win the ball and also travel with the ball with some speed and also hit the bal from a far distance. Playing splitting passes is lacking although Valverde is actually improving on that, Camavinga is the player that actually took those roles in Lile before but his defensive positioning in Madrid has actually hinder him to continue that way.

This is why I still think next summer Madrid needs to add an attacking midfielder like the likes of Florian Wirtz or attempt to get even Jamal Musiala.


The odds definitely shows that even the bookmakers are confident on Barcelona so am i, over the years Sevilla have found it difficult to win against Barcelona even if they playing well now that they are not even playing well I don’t see them having a good chance to win, I would have love a Sevilla win to make the game el Classico more entertaining next weekend but Barcelona wouldn’t be throwing this lead away just yet

My two cent, overall the match was not satisfying, apart from Madrid victory but still with the same record regarding the balance in both the midfield and the back line which is now not so promising. Modric entry made the difference, because he was able to overcome the midfield which was not so effective throughout the first half. Rudiger without Carvajal was very busy in the back line, fortunately Courtois appeared solid even though he had just recovered from injury. It is unimaginable if the goalkeeper was not him, Madrid would have lost to Celta Vigo.

Modric did it many times for Real Madrid and since the last season, he was no longer strong enough to play a full match for them. However as a substitution, when the team needed him, he appeared and usually was able to make big differences for helping Real Madrid flip the match entirely. It's value of a legendary player like Modric but with time, his magic will become less. It's natural and no human can fight against ageing forever especially professional players at highest level, ageing has very big impacts on their bodies and performances.

What Modrid has done and achieve are simply legendary and unbelievable. It's great honor to have opportunities of enjoying his football on field, not on documentary videos.
