Villarreal did a great job against Getafe today. After eliminating Bayern Munich in the Champions League, their self-confidence must have increased a lot. And they are trying to maintain a good performance in the La Liga too. This 2-1 win have helped them get close to Real Sociedad a little more. But I don't know if they can manage to qualify for the ECL at least.

for the competition next season maybe it will be better in the championship if indeed Xavi can continue to be consistent in restoring Barcelona's current performance.

It means that they will be at the very least last 16 in UCL next year and could lose there. Which is improvement, I mean as far as I can remember Barcelona always managed to go ahead of group stages at all times. Which means that if they could get back to at least that level, even if they lose after that its fine because it may take a while. If only they could also save their financial situation after that, it would be perfect.

I didn't expect Elche to win with such a cool goal record, beyond my prediction actually. There was also another match that make me amazed, Alaves because the last few games have been in a row but today managed to get points, because they beat Rayo and after spewing a goal then Alaves managed to again make Rayo helpless with 10 players remaining in 88 minutes. The margin between Real Madrid and Barcelona is a 12 point difference, for them to cover up such gap, Barcelona need to win at least 4 Matches, though there last matches were magnificent that even Real Madrid couldn't stand them but it is going to be a heavy task if they really want to demonstrate the king of Spain.
