Real Madrid are still far away from their closest competitors in the standings. This will of course motivate them to stand up and fight again after the huge Barcelona loss. They are much closer to the title like never before. There are only nine weeks to go and Barcelona seem to be like they are going to be Real Madrid's nearest competitor in the standings at the end of the season. But I don't think that they can get close to Real Madrid seriously from now on. The twelve-point difference is too much to make up for.

When Xavi was first signed to Barcelona, I thought it would be like when Frank Lampard emerged as Chelsea coach...you know the current trend of players becoming coaches and not doing really well. But Xavi has been wonderful when it comes to guiding the Barcelona side.

Sevilla will really come down from where they are now seeing the decline in the form they are showing now. A tough game in front of them is inevitable, and I see that in that match Sevilla will lose. Previously the distance between Sevilla and the teams below them was quite far, but we can see now that they are giving other teams the opportunity to close the gap following the results they get are not optimal.

Koeman was really a disaster for Barcelona, he literally destroyed the club, sacking him and bringing Xavi as coach have soon proven to be a very good decision. They have been playing but let's not go ahead of ourselves. The team is in some good form hence they tend to dismantle any opposition they meet. I will take Xavi anf and this team serious when they bring a trophy.. As for the game with Sevilla, Barcelona will be the favorite by many but lets not forget it's two weeks away and players are going for international break. Xavi and Barca fans will hope that their players don't pick up injuries because obviously that would affect this momentum they have built.

Barca may benefit more because they still have a gap of 1 game that has not been done. Barca is playing well, hopefully, they can play consistently.
