Even though Girona want to achieve something good from this tournament, it will be second position because Real Madrid will never allow them to embrace the la Liga league title which we have experienced the sign from their last meeting in the Real Madrid home that made Real Madrid to defeated Girona 4-1 for the favour of Real Madrid. If Barcelona can continue doing what they are doing now to be in a good form over some matches now to moved to third position, I think it will help them to drag the second position from Girona and they will succeed at the end. Barcelona is playing with Napoli in the champion league competition round 16, I believe the match will end up for the favour of Barcelona because Napoli are still experiencing some challenges in their attacking area which it will cause them to miss the three points from the match.
Yes, I even thought it was going to be Barcelona and Real Madrid, but it’s obvious that Real Madrid is performing much better than Barcelona, with the 62 points they already have, leading the table. I didn’t expect they would slow down and let Girona stand ahead of them. Maybe Girona could contend, but they’ve also proven that they can’t knock Real Madrid down of the game. Even though there are around 13 matches left, it’s likely that Real Madrid will remain top abd consolidate their lead, unless they don’t perform as well, which seems difficult given the current circumstances. Plus, I think Mbappé is already gearing up to join the team.
Mbappé’s introduction to Real Madrid, which I believe will be next season, is going to bring more fire to the club. They’re already doing well, but imagine if they have someone like Mbappé joining them, they’ll perform even better. It’ll be easier for Bellingham to have somebody to help him finish the goals and assist him in becoming more confident in pushing through to the opponents’ 18-yard box.
I think Girona will also be a bit more comfortable now that, in the matches to come before the end of the season, they won’t be playing Real Madrid anymore, at least with the fixtures we have. However, they need to perform better. We just don’t know if Real Madrid can drop those points, which seems quite unlikely.
Even if Girona ends up second, third, or fourth, for instance, it’s not something that was envisaged to happen. That’s the beauty of football, and we’ll keep our fingers crossed to see how well Michel can do for the club. But I must say kudos to the president of Girona because he has maintained both teams, Girona and Manchester City, and they are currently the second-leading clubs in both leagues, both the Premier League and La Liga.
