Sevilla failed to cut the difference in points with Real Madrid in the standings after being held to a draw by Barcelona 1-1. Had taken the lead first through Papu Gomez after receiving a corner kick and managed to find the Barcelona goal, but Sevilla had to concede through a corner kick scheme and Ronald Araujo managed to head home Countinho's corner in the 45th minute. Until the end of the match Sevilla were unable to increase their advantage and this result leaves them 5 points behind Real Madrid.

I also bet on Sevilla and I am angry now. Not because the bet was lost, but because of the disgusting result - as a result, both teams lost points. Only Real Madrid has benefited from this result. It would be good if Sevilla was at least formally competing with Real, but it seems that it no longer has the strength to stay close to it. La Liga teams overall performance nowadays are different from the past for sure and as you pointed out Sevilla wouldn't be second if Barcelona and ATM performed as they did in their peak.
Honestly except Real Madrid (partially also), the other teams are way out of their form and Barcelona is the most affected imo.. They just did a favour for Real Madrid by letting Sevilla lose 2 points. A perfect result for RM and bad one for both Sevilla and Barca.

Barcelona was the equalising team and even with a red card, they still couldn't manage and capitalise it to produce a goal. The Barcelona I knew, should you have a player dropped, you'll be running around all through the game and the goals would be a lot but, it was different and all gone. Well, I would congratulate Sevilla, they are doing quite well and holding the second place properly. The title is very far from from Barcelona and should Real Madrid top through the rest of this year which they would, they can be said yo have taken the league.

The first half was in control of Barcelona even though they conceded first. And it seems like Sevilla have made a better start to the second half now. It is good to see them being very eager to win also finally. This can make the game even more competitive now. But I don't think that Barcelona will be losing this game. The odds of both teams were already so close to each other before the game started. I think this shows that Barcelona won't lose.

Barcelona managed to hold Sevilla to a draw in the first half 1-1. Now the match live the second half where both team are fighting for the full 3 point. I think throughout the first half Barcelona played well while Sevilla defended a little bit because Barcelona were a little bit more aggressive than before. The match might end in a draw, but if Barcelona can play like the first half then I think they can still score in the second half.

I'm happy for not placing a bet on Sevilla to win. Because considering the first half, things don't seem to be going on very good for Sevilla. Yes, they scored first and Barcelona found the equalizer before the end of the half. But there was a big dominance of Barcelona in this half. They found so many goal opportunities but were able to benefit from only one of them. One of Sevilla's two shots in total ended up with a goal. If they don't improve their effort, Barcelona might win this game.
