realistically speaking:

There is always the possibility of a miracle. Maybe Atletico's chances for the championship have already been lost, but the fight for a place in the Champions League should end with success. Villarreal is a solid opponent and the loss of points in a match with such a club should not be regarded as a disaster and the loss of all chances for a successful end to the season. Unlike Barcelona, Atletico Madrid does not have such financial problems and, if the game and results are stabilized, it has a good chance of at least being in the top three. Another question is that Atletico Madrid expected completely different results this season and at least a fight for the title.

I agree that Villarreal deserve to win in this match unfortunately Atletico Madrid equalized the score and no additional goals until the last minute
I think Atletico Madrid are out of the title race they can't keep the title , this season Madrid and Sevilla are the main candidates while Barcelona and Atletico only compete for CL tickets.

No European League has ever gone into break so that AFCON tournament is player. You must be confused just because Premier League is not being played this weekend because of FA Cup competition matches.

This club, once again still cannot show their best in the game match, still some lines to be fixed and made better. It can be seen from how they played against Granada, a small club considered. They had fewer shots and shots on target than Granada even Barcelona had higher ball possession, but they had no good effectivity.

The match has ended and the result as you expected, they got a draw (2-2). You are right, Atletico still cannot show his best. They only win 1 time, 1 draw, and 3 losses in the last 5 matches. Even in this match, they cannot fully control the match and play effectively, Villareal was more dominant in ball possession and made more shots. Atletico has some problems in their squad, especially in midfield and defense line. Also, their attackers seem not really as aggressive as in the previous season. Diego Simeone needs to fix these problems as soon as possible if they still want to compete for the title and UCL tickets. One of the solutions is to buy some players in the next transfer window to deal with some crisis in their squad quality.

This game had to much exchange of emotions, match looked like it could be carried by Atletico Madrid after they got an early goal but that was nevwr going to be the final score as Villarreal should why they are among the longest surviving teams in this league and almost won it but Atl Madrid managed to rescue a point.

What are you referring to exactly? Which league is on a break? I am not aware of any league being on a break. Schedule in Spain is pretty much the same as for any other leagues, the only thing that is different between the leagues are some of the Coronavirus rules. Other than that, it is that games get delayed if the rules require it. Am I missing something?

Barcelona needed that win and now they are one game ahead and still lacking behind, 3 points would have been awesome for them. In any case the league is only half over, if they do a lot better than what they did at the first half of the season which looks like they are going to do, even if they are not amazing then they will end up probably at top 3.

I do not see betis and sociedad staying at this level for too long, the only problem is will Sevilla or ATM budge? If not then Barcelona will be fourth but I am not guessing that they will be doing too badly there neither. Still a champions league entry position and by this off-season they could get players who are more suited for Barcelona system.

That was a rough deal obviously. Huge transfer fee to Dortmund, now he leaves for zero. Well done Barcelona! One question is whether Xavi is a good coach to make big players out of the youngsters. Back at the time Guardiola definitely was one of the coaches (still is). If they want to start over, they need the right management for it.

Real Madrid impressived me yesterday against Valencia. I never expected them to win the game with 3 goals difference. Valencia couldn't resist, and end up scoring 1 goal despite having 7 shot on target. Benzema probably scored 2 goals.
While Sevilla had a tough facing Getafe today, but they managed to secure a goal and defensed it to the end of the game. However, Villarreal Vs Atletico Madrid first half just ended with 1-1 draw. And Atletico have to play more carefully in the second half because Villarreal seems well prepared to win the match.

They can be happy that Atletico is also underperforming right now. Otherwise it would be Real, Sevilla and Atletico being ahead on rank 1 - 3, and only rank 4 would be left for champions league qualification. If they fail to reach the CL, how are they even going to compete on the transfer market for players who can improve the squad? Also Pique is not the youngest and Alba seems to lack motivation.

It has been a wonderful week for Real Madrid and Sevilla. Real Madrid played against Valencia home yesterday and won it very comfortably too. To tell the truth, I wasn't expecting Real Madrid to win this by this much gap. They destroyed Valencia by 4-1. And of course, the Benzema - Vinicius Junior duo carried the team again. They both scored two goals and it is nice to see Benzema reaching 17 goals in the standings of top scorers. And Sevilla also won today against Getafe by 1-0 home. This wasn't an easy game for them but I still appreciate the result.

in the previous match Getafe were able to beat madrid and it was quite a surprise but today they couldn't win against sevilla

villareal vs ATM will be an exciting match, and even though villareal is the host, I'm more sure that ATM will win
