After a four-week break in the La Liga, Barcelona have finally reached a victory in the game versus Espanyol. It was a 1-0 victory and not a very satisfying score to be honest. But for now, a victory is a victory for them. They don't have the luxury to feel bad about not winning it by a big gap. Xavi's arrival at the team can change things for them I believe. They just need time to recover and return to the old times. Until then, the team and the fans both should be as patient as possible.
You never can tell , if Barca comes up with a better performance it is not late to meet up, the problem of Barca is defense . The player's should try to put effort to work on their defense.
It is never too late for them to improve their performance, If Xavi comes up with a great strategy, then Barcelona will usually slide up on the standings. Xavi have chances of getting Barcelona into the top 4, Although, it won't be an easy task, as they are 6 points behind Atletico Madrid who are presently occupying the 4th place. However, Barcelona has conceded 15 goals in 13 matches, which signify that they have to work more on their defence. Anyway, they will be playing a tough match tomorrow against Benfica in the Champion League, and am expecting them to play defensively to avoid losing. 
Real Madrid took profit while Sociedad struggle to win against Valencia and Sevilla only went for draw against Alaves. Atletico and Barca also won but they are still far from top. Despite they are not in same level as last years, this squad is still good to get the trophy for La Liga. I just don't think Real to win Champions League, it's limited for that but Ancelotti can get another La Liga championship with this team. Especially when Barcelona is already out of contender list and Atletico struggle to get winning series.
Yes, I think that is the more realistic situation for Barcelona at the moment as they are in a rebuilding situation themselves. I think the real contender here are real Madrid, Real Sociedad, Atletico Madrid, and Sevilla. But I think real Madrid has the best chances of winning this League.
currently barcelona is 10 points behind madrid and it must be difficult to catch up but i see barca have a chance to end up in the top 3 because xavi's strategy is pretty good
tomorrow is Xavi's first match in the champions league as a coach, if he is able to win a landslide victory from Benfica then the top 3 of La Liga until the season ends will be in his hands
It was a good welcome for Xavi from Barcelona two days ago. He had his first official game with Barcelona against Espanyol. In this game, I was hoping for Barcelona to be victorious and start getting in a better form from now on. After a tough competition, Barcelona finally got a win in the La Liga after many weeks by 1-0. Depay's penalty goal was a life-saving one for them in this. Slowly, I believe that Barcelona will continue to recover and have their old shape eventually.

I think real Madrid will hold their position at the top till the end but I honestly don't know for sure because Real Sociedad is playing really well in this season and also Sevilla. They were really impressive this season till now and I honestly will not be surprised if one of these teams gets the league winner this time.
Today I think Rayo Vallecano will win and get three points after two games. Mallorca is an important team, but they're going poorly this year. They have drawn in the last four matches and goals have been scored from both sides in all matches. A bet on both teams to score may be reasonable here as well. If Falcao plays, he will score again, but I don't know if his injury is over. In Mallorca, Lee Kangin who was transferred from Valencia with high hopes, has yet to deliver what was expected.
for me, Barca may be far from champions for this season. but Atletico is still close and has the potential to add to their points. Barca is still constrained by internal problems. and that limits them this season. a very strong influence on their performance.

Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona all won their games last weekend. However, the leader team which were Real Sociedad couldn't defeat Valencia home and the result was 0-0. After this result, Real Madrid have finally taken the lead from them even though they have one less games played than Real Sociedad now. Even the dream of seeing a completely different team becoming the champions is really great but Real Madrid don't seem like they will let such thing happen. But we are just at the beginning too.
Madrid has 1 game less, Sociedad 14 times madrid 13 times. This is certainly in Madrid's favor if they win in 1 match the difference between the points will increase. Besides that they will play in the UCL they have a busier schedule than Sociedad. Sociedad should have better energy than Madrid, Barca. But the quality of the players certainly matters, Sociedad don't have players as good as Barca, Madrid and Atletico

Luka Modric was fantastic with the ball as usual, an addition of players like Mbappe and Haaland to this Real Madrid team, and they will definitely be an upset to any team they meet.Real Madrid looks like the better compared to other competitors (Barcelona and Atletico Madrid), they have the better squad depth, with highly experienced players, despite missing a few players to injury, they still look like the real deal, I mean no disrespect but, Real Sociedad have been impressive so far this season. However, I really don't see them as a team competing for the title, I'd not even fancy Sevilla's chances, We've seen them try for the 28 or thereabout weeks sometimes before everything goes south.

I absolutely agree with this because even though they play really well in the field, they cannot get a better squad or better players if they don't have enough money. Money matters a lot to build up a strong squad. I hope that Barcelona can overcome these bad situations.

Nothing wrong with the Barcelona defense,this is a new coach implementing new rules and bringing back the tiki taka system of play.
It will sure work, Xavi Hernandez is a good coach.
they still have problems with not being able to score many goals, for example in the last game of barcelona they only managed to score 1 goal thanks to the penalty, if barcelona manages to have good players who score a lot of goals they can go far, luckily i as a fan of real madrid I'm happy that this season the teams are very weak, maybe real madrid will become champion
This season La Liga competition is quite competitive because there are 3 or 4 teams that have the chance to win at the end of the season, Sevilla and Real Sociedad who are not yet seeded in the championship competition, but are able to continue to pressure Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga standings this season, looking at the performance of both teams, honestly I don't dare to say if madrid can be free to lock the title this season and maybe madrid this season will get tough resistance from sevilla and real sociedad and i think madrid should not slip even in one game if they don't want to be overtaken other teams.
Always La iga is most quite competitive just on half season only, maybe on 21th week we know many team have good position right now like Sociedad and Sevilla will difficult to make consistent performance, just happen last La Liga season I think will the same on this season. But lets see I sure Real Madrid keep consistent until 34th week and become the champion in this year after failed last year.
