They have signed David Alaba but it is not enough to carry their defense to the upper level. They need a really strong and qualified defender to be better at defending also.

David Alaba is definitely a good defender. There is no doubt about this. But the lack of two experienced and skilled defenders like Ramos and Varane cannot be filled with Alaba alone. Moreover, even though Ramos is 33 years old, but he is a good captain. However, Real Madrid's defense is a bit weaker than before, but their defense is still strong enough.

Two Reals have amazing matches so far. Real Madrid with Ancelotti is one of candidates to win La Liga but most of us don't believe that they have higher chance than Atletico Madrid but now they are dominating La Liga and earned more points than the another Madrid.

Real Sociedad is a very big surprise because in many recent seasons, they are not in the top four of La Liga that are reserved for Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla. Villareal have better performance than Sociedad too. So what achievement Real Socided have is very well. Second place above Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla. It is simply unbelievable.

Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are also the biggest teams of the league of course but I'm not sure about their performance in general now. Atletico haven't been good and Barcelona are also inconsistent.

I can agree with you, Barcelona has some good players. If they cannot play well, so we can suspect there is something wrong with the coach. In yesterday's match, it was clearly seen if, without the coach, they even could play better.
