Yeah a draw might be boring for a lot of fans but it's better than losing at their home and I think the fans watching would prefer a draw rather than that. After watching the game I could say that Madrid really wasted three good chances of scoring a goal the first one was a clear shot from Benzema but he couldn't convert it to a goal, the second one was the header from Militao that was only off by a few inches, and the last one was another header from Jovic. These are really good chances but either one of them has converted it to a goal so it is a very disappointing thing to see for a fan.

Real totally deserves that.. They had their chances to be ahead of Barcelona and sit on the top of the league some matches ago but they again resulted in a draw.
Now Barcelona is building a point difference that is going to be hard for Real to cover it...

Real are just two points behind first place Barcelona, that surely doesn't take them out of the title race, the gap is so small and easy to close up. It's really disappointing for a fan when you see your team is not at the top of the table at the end of the year, Before enjoying Christmas, it's really not a good feeling, After playing a good El Classico, Real Madrid has lost 2 valuable points and this is why they are not in the race anymore, they have played goalless game in a row, Ultimately last three-match was not for them, I hope Real Madrid will come strongly after this break, but it's not good to see that Real Madrid is two-points behinds from their Rival at the end of a couple of months.

Good point. I haven't watched their game today, but it's not common to see goalless Real Madrid in two games in a row. And in last 3 games they scored just 1 goal.
It was last La Liga game in 2019. Now there is 2 weeks break. Players will be able to get some rest, recover from minor injuries and celebrate Christmas with their families.

Real Madrid lost 2 points again tonight by drawing against Athletic club. That's just 3 points out of a possible 9 in the last 3 games. It looks like the effect of Marcelo's and Eden's absence is beginning to show up. Goals have been hard to come by lately for them

Historically the records does not show that Athletic Bilbao can upset Real Madrid in their home ground as i have not seen a win for Athletic Bilbao for more than a decade and lost more than a dozen matches and in this match i am not expecting any upsets and Real Madrid should win the match easily and i am expecting over 2.5 goals in this match.

A bit dissapointing that they conded a goal right before HT, but overall, pretty fun game so far. Well nobody wants to lose, but sometimes you just can't win due to various reasons. But if Madrid sucks hard, any team can beat them. And that seems to be possible to happen. Literally almost every top team is dropping hard this season.

We are looking at the top and saying how real Madrid have to win this game to stay in the championship run but you guys do realize that Athletico Madrid is not really doing that well neither as well right? They are at 29 points right now with literally 3 teams trailing them very close (bilbao, valencia and sociedad) so if they lose there is a chance they could drop even further and athletico Madrid is a team that needs success to keep success, the moment they are out of European cups they won't make as much money and they won't be able to get their decent roster back for next season and that would be start of their doom. So, they need to be in first 5 no matter what. They will play their heart out and hope to get at least 1 point from real Madrid if they can.

yes that is true , in the last 5 matches atletico madrid never get 3 points in all competition , it is 3 draw of 0-0, 1-1 and another 1-1 lost 1-0 and 2-1. they are indeed struggle to win in away matches, the goal amount also around 2 and 3 goals.

but it is strange if you check the odds out for under 2.5 goals a bit high , is this a sign there will be more than 2 goals?
also for your information that real betis won the last meeting with atletico madrid , 1-0 for real betis at home.

i think it is better to go for real betis with the bad stats they have currently.
