Half time
Granada (1) - (0) Barcelona

Barcelona always win in ball possession. 71% Barcelona can do the ball, but with that alone is not enough. Because they can't score, even just 3 kicks are created. I hope Barcelona don't just play for possession, because they have to find a key or a way to get a goal.

It's half time 2 attempts and no single shot on goal for Barcelona in the opening 45minutes despite having 71% of the ball the possession, Valverde really to need to introduce a few changes very early into the 2nd half, there's a total lack of creativity in the team.

EDIT: Thank God, Messi and Fati have come on. I hope it's not too late  Huh

Early shocker for Barcelona, Granada have taken the lead just 2 minutes into the game.

Hmmm...
An interesting match, I'm glad Barcelona lost a goal in the early minutes. They will work hard again to find victory in this match. In the second half later, Granada will certainly also try to add to these goals and in the end Barcelona lose more points.

ATM is trying hard to score a goal against Celta Vigo. Its 85 minute running but still, the match is goalless. ATM needs to win this match badly because winning this match will put them on the top of the table. Both teams lose couple of good chances, still 10 minutes remaining with injury time. Let's see what happens.
Atletico Madrid missed that opportunity. The match ended 0-0 and Celta Vigo claimed a valuable away point thanks to great performance of their goalkeeper. In my opinion Celta Vigo really deserved the away point.
Tomorrow, Real Madrid will have the opportunity to move to top of the table.

This is going to be interesting, Valverde has opted the rest a host of key players, as I've guessed he'd do. Hopefully this wouldn't come back to haunt him.

Did not notice that today there is a Barcelona match. I am too much into EPL lol
By the way, Barcelona should win this match against a team like Granada. Besides Messi is fit to play so I do not see any upset to happen in this match. 4 - 1 win for Barcelona. 🤪

There are many great opportunities to win Barcelona. But seeing Granada's previous match, maybe Barcelona will be troubled by Granda to achieve that victory. Even if Barcelona go away with a win, I don't think it will be big. Just 1 or 2 more goals. I hope Granada can draw or win this match.  Tongue

I went with 4 - 0 in the pool.

The only significant injury concerns remains Dembele, Umtiti and newly injured Alba that shows a luxury of squad at Valverde's disposal, this should be an easy ride for Barcelona. However, with a total of 4 games to be played within a time frame of ~ 10 days, Valverde might decide to field a less strong team.

It would be an easy win for Barcelona. Granada is not so competitive to grab the victory from barca's hands. And apart from that it would be a good match for Messi to start being on form.

We take on Granada tonight and wow have those boys from the South looked so great in La Liga so far yeah? Champions League was a shitty game. Our defence is so bad and even Messi shouldn't have been brought on I think he was rusty but this is the perfect time to bounce back. They say he shouldn't play but he needs a couple more games to get back to full speed.

Suarez or Messi to get the brace, what do you think?

Barcelona will have Messi, Suarez, Griezmann on the squad for Laliga Matchday 5 Against Granada. Messi was a bit low against BVB on UCL. I hope he will back with a bang in Laliga tomorrow.
I don't think Messi will be in the starting XI. He was pretty bad in the last game vs Dortmund so I don't think they should force him to play right from the start tomorrow. And even without Messi, and considering Barca have been pretty shit without him in away games lately, Granada shouldn't be a difficult opponent for Valverde & Co. If they can't win tomorrow without Messi against a recently promoted team, then Valverde should resign in the post-match press conference.

Madrid should overcome their current situation to not be trophyless this season.
Sevilla at home are scary, but against small teams, most of the time they choke against the big teams in the league so hopefully that's what we'll see next Monday  Grin

Messi has just returned from an injury and it’ll take him a week or two to get his rhythm back, @tomahawk9 I’ll agree with your view that he should not be playing right from the start. There’s lot of pressure on Valverde, and he may be forced to resign if Barcelona loose this match. I doubt Real Madrid will win anything this season because there’re already talks about Zidane being fired, and Hazard their marquee signing is over weight. If Real Madrid wishes to win anything this season then they need to publicly back Zidane now, and invest again in January transfer window.

Goal & an assist by Ansu Fati for Barcelona tonight vs Valencia. This kid is 16 years old, how fucking good could he be?
I'd say Messi snd Suarez in 16year old but the tag would be outrageous, but he's really that good. Hopefully, Barcelona would nurture his talent.
These young talents going pro at a young age usually get overwhelmed with the fame, the money and along the way loseit but with the right guidance he might not experience this bad patch of football. And great talent from the young lad just hope he isn't an injury magnet.

Until the 40th minute, Osasuna vs Real Betis were still very boring. There were no significant shots or attacks. So far only 3 shots have been created. Thankfully I did not bet on this match, it only filled my time watching.
Does anyone here bet for Osasuna or Betis?
I was l ucky not to have even watched the match.  I just checked the  results and apparently the match ended Goalless.

OTOH, Real Madrid will face strong Sevilla on Monday. PSG got a massive win against Real on UCL. Madrid should overcome their current situation to not be trophyless this season.

All of the mentioned players had their chances at Camp Nou, all of them blew those chances. Let's hope that the same won't happen with Ansu Fati because he seems like a really special kid. The one that hasn't been seen in Barcelona for at least a decade...

Can you define what 'chance' means? Is it one season or two seasons only?

Deulofeu: https://www.transfermarkt.com/gerard-deulofeu/profil/spieler/129476
13/14 to 14/15 loaned by Barca, joined Everton later in 15/16. 16/17 loaned to Milan, bought by Barca in 17/18, loaned again to Watford. 18/19, Watford bought him.

Munir: https://www.transfermarkt.com/munir-el-haddadi/profil/spieler/223725
Loaned every year and sold in the end.

Hmm.

They didn't get any chance obvisously.
Deulofeu for example was a victim of commercial deals that Barcelona had probably made behind the scenes. This explains why the player was bought and loaned immediately without giving him any chance of playing competitively or in the first team.

There's always been that one (maybe two) special kid in Barcelona that every single year people and the media hyped up only to get dissapointed in the not so long future. Only differences with Ansu Fati and the other "young La Masia promising gems" from the past are: 1) Fati scores goals and assists 2) Messi isn't around so any player who manages to have a decent performance will 100% get the spotlight, more so if he's coming from the youth academy. 3) Marketing campaign around this kid has been massive.

Also, the fact that a 16yo kid is getting all the attention in the world despite the team having world-class players says a lot about Barcelona.
