I think there was definitely corruption in the affairs of Barcelona, the only question is how criminal. The problem is that no one is interested in this, but UEFA is using this case as pressure on Barcelona (as the founder of the Super League) for its own benefit.
Therefore, all these matters only irritate me - there will never be justice, but only an agreement between dirty businessmen.
Saying there was definitely corruption without any proof is like sentencing a person without any proof whatsoever. Have you looked at the details of the case? Negeira owned a firm Barcelona hired, there's nothing more that proofs otherwise. He was the head of referees or something at the time, how was he going to influence matches for Barcelona when he was not the referee on the pitch? These are matches we watched, so it's like we didn't watch the matches, nothing that was in favour of Barcelona is different from what we see everyday in football.
We all watched the El classico yesterday, we all saw how unfair the referee was to Barcelona. A goal ruled off unjustly, a red card for modric that wasn't given. Yet at the end of the day, the media would say Barcelona is the club buying referees, because that sells more.
Barcelona is not as broke as it seems, but La liga restrictions have refused them to do business freely. The media doesn't talk about these, because those won't sell, what everybody wants to hear is how broke Barcelona is. Barcelona made more money at the end of last season, but at the beginning of the season, their wage cap was further reduced. Things like this give them issues when registering players.
There's a lot of politics at play and we do not even know the full extent of it, but one thing I know is I cannot rely on the Spanish or English media to give us the true details. They give us what sells and negative news about Barcelona sells the most.
