Real Madrid vs Barcelona

Real Madrid StartXI: 4-3-1-2

Andriy Lunin; Lucas Vázquez; Antonio Rüdiger; Aurélien Tchouaméni; Eduardo Camavinga; Federico Valverde; Toni Kroos; Luka Modrić; Jude Bellingham; Vinícius Júnior; Rodrygo

Barcelona StartXI: 4-3-3

Marc-André ter Stegen; Jules Koundé; Ronald Araújo; Pau Cubarsí; João Cancelo; Frenkie de Jong; Andreas Christensen; İlkay Gündoğan; Lamine Yamal; Robert Lewandowski; Raphinha

The match has started and so far real Madrid has been dominating with a lot of possession, although is too early to be sure on the exact team that would win the match, however I like the start up players for real Madrid because those players are more good and experience than Barcelona players, however while I was typing Barcelona has managed to score real Madrid an early goal, actually with how consistent in performance real Madrid has been on this first half I never believe Barcelona will be able to score this early goal.

The match is seriously getting more tougher because it was not up 12 minutes Barcelona scored their first goal and Vinícius Júnior has equalized, so actually they have now become balanced but it seems their would be numerous of goals on this match since they have been able to score 1-1 when the first half is still early, so their is a likelihood that their would be more goals before the end of the second half.

Christensen have scored an early goal with a beautiful header to take the early lead in El Clasico tonight on the 6th minutes of the game after he received a cross from Raphina. It is good to see that the fight started early, as Real Madrid will be doing everything possible to make sure that they equalize this goal.

The match is played in Real Madrid home, and I don't think that they will be happy to see Barcelona trying to win the game. The game is getting tough, because Barcelona is still pressing to score the second goal.

Madrid having to face Barcelona this evening is actually going to be a really interesting one as the form and confidence of Madrid happens to appear like it's at its peak a d they are most very likely to be able to without stress get to win the game because Barcelona isn't looking like a team that's in their best form enough to be able to handle Madrid even enough to prevent them form getting victory not after all the losses they have suffered recently.

Barcelona loosing their champions league games to PSG which has caused them their journey in the champions league such that it's not looking like they will be able to still make it well enough in the champions league this season again as they are already out of the champions league but Madrid on the other hand is still in the champions league with high probability of winning the champions league and even in the fact that they are not giving up on the la Liga aswell which could mean that they are possibly looking at taking both trophies by the end of the season.

Barcelona's boss isn't in his best state of mind after the experience at the champions league and i think that may actually have a way to affect their performance in the la Liga game to night and moreover they can be sure to have it actually really tough against Madrid as Madrid isn't looking like they are promising an easy game and going by the records Madrid hasn't be really bad with home games this season so they are very likely to still show such strength in the game today.

You mean Barcelona will win? Or they have to win? Although after the hard work in UCL matches by Madrid players, they are quite exhausted for sure, still I think Madrid will either win or a draw at max. It's in Bernabeu, everything is in Madrid's favor.

I agree with you here. As some Barcelona fans tend to ignore and overlook the facts of what happened in the UCL and the poor performance from Xavi’s players in many ways. Losing against PSG ended their dreams and revealed significant weaknesses in Barcelona's defensive lines.
As you mentioned, the Real Madrid team might be exhausted from their efforts to eliminate Manchester City. However, I believe that they won't give up on the LaLiga trophy this year after all the efforts to keep the leadership. So, my bets are with the white house today. Hala Madrid
Maybe it's true that Real Madrid was drained of energy after having to play more than 120 minutes in the quarter-finals against Manchester City, but with the team they have, they definitely know how their team can recover quickly. And you also need to remember that Barcelona also played in the Champions League even though they lost, so in other words they also experienced fatigue, especially mentally, they must have been a little disturbed by their defeat in the Champions League, it's just that Barcelona had one day longer than Real Madrid.
Real Madrid has the advantage in this prestigious match, it is not easy to beat Real Madrid when playing at the Bernabeu. They also fielded their main players in this match, including their 2 senior midfielders, Luca Modric and Tony Kross. I make the favorite the favorite, but I also won't rule out the possibility that Barcelona will be able to provide something that disappoints Real Madrid. Let's look at this match.

Im adding the picture for the strategy used by the club.

Madrid is gonna play with two attackers at upfront. It seems like that ancellotti is trying to strengthening the defensive line since barcelona may be playing fully offensive. Having two attackers instead of one helped club to do quick counter attack easily once barcelona will miss the ball.

Barcelona lose in the first leg. The second leg may be a bit different since xavi is now using so many players from la masia like cubarsi or yamal. That's an interesting match to watch soon.

Things are not going so well for real madrid since barcelona made some improvements on its defensive and attacking lines.

The starting XI of Real Madrid is a very good one but I wasn't expecting that from the club manager Carlo Ancelotti. Lucas Vazquez came into their game in the UEFA Champions League last week as a substitute but delivered a great performance so I understand the manager's reason to start him in the game but what is surprising to me is the position he's going to play tonight. Also, Camavinga who we all know is an utility player that can perfectly play in the left back position was named to start in the left back position even when majority of his games this season have been as a midfielder.
Barcelona's line up is the best the club manager can name at the moment so I wasn't surprised with any of the players that was named to start the game. It'll be a difficult game if you ask me but I still expect Real Madrid to win the game after final whistle

In the battle for 7th place between Valencia and Real Betis, Real Betis won. Real Betis, who won an important away win, took the 7th place from their rival and now have a chance to participate in the European Cups. We can say that they will be in a fierce fight with their rival until the end of the season. Both teams played well, but Real Betis had better chances than their opponents and won the match.
In the last match of the day, Girona hosted relegation candidates Cadiz. Girona, who won comfortably against Cadiz, managed to get 3 points with 4 goals. Although it is too late for them to win the championship, the higher they finish in the league, the more important it is for them.

The problem for Barcelona is the lack of discipline of the players because seeing from some crucial matches that occurred such as when facing PSG in the Champions League quarter-finals and when facing Madrid in the final earlier last month we know discipline is the biggest problem where players always make mistakes that lead to red cards which in the end it hurts Barcelona.

I quite agree with this because indeed their problem lies in discipline because in terms of current performance after several problems that occurred in the end Barcelona can still play well and their problems in terms of attack and finishing can finally be anticipated.
However, the problem of discipline and unnecessary fouls seems to need to be given greater notice because as you said, they have been disadvantaged several times due to red cards received and the last match against PSG should be a situation that should be given special attention so as not to let Madrid's fast counter-attacks be thwarted by fouls that lead to cards.
If things like this still happen then don't expect Barcelona to be able to provide resistance because we know that although Barcelona's style of play certainly dominates with its tiki taka but when it comes to the quality of attacks, Madrid can always do the best with its counter attacks.

It is going to be such a big game today, not saying that Barcelona would have a chance to win the title if they win this game, there are still so many games Real Madrid would have to lose if Barcelona wants to win, it is not going to be possible for Real Madrid to lose that much, but at the very least Barcelona has to win so they could say that they tried and did their very best, otherwise that makes no sense.

I believe that we are going to end up with a result that won't be that easy, we should probably consider the situation to be changing at all times. I believe that we can't make that work if we are not careful, so we should probably consider this option to be sensitive and Barcelona has to get a win here no matter what.

There is the El Classico tonight yet I am not at all excited and like me most of the fans and gamblers because the La Liga is already decided and Real Madrid is already Champion of the La Liga,Barcelona comes from an elimination from the Champions League while Real from a further qualification that sees them in the semi-finals,based on that we can easily see that the team with the bigger motivation is Real Madrid and most likely they are going to win the derby to keep up with the form and make the fans even more happy than they are because of Real eliminating City in Champions,as they say revenge is a plate that is better served cold and that was what happened to City,Real took revenge for what happened in 2023 to them.
It's not about Real Madrid winning because it's clear that the points difference is far away but this El Clasico will be the most heated moment where they will keep the victory as the top club in LaLiga although it can be concluded that Real Madrid will win but I feel that the match will still be tough.

Real Madrid have already celebrated their semi-final victory over Manchester City, but Los Blancos will now have another battle with a strong team, it's not much but 3 points are still quite important for Real Madrid.

Suppose Los Blancos lose then it will slightly delay the LaLiga trophy celebration for Real Madrid.

I'm sure everyone is waiting for Real Madrid vs Barcelona. It will be an interesting El Clasico. On one side we have Real Madrid, who eliminated Manchester City in the semifinals of the Champions League. On the other side, we have Barcelona, who lost their place in the semifinals by eliminating Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League. Both teams have had a completely different week. Both teams have a very different mood. But derby matches always have a different atmosphere. Real Madrid will undoubtedly use their home advantage. I think they are the favorites in this match.

Barcelona will have to use all best players they have for this El Clásico. Win it and keep up their hope and chance to catch Real Madrid with 5 points when season will have 6 more matches after this El Clásico. This is a big task for Barcelona in this El Clásico but this contains risk for them too. Playing attacking against Real Madrid with many good attacking and speedy players, is very risky.
Xavi may be thinking about the best strategy to get the best results in the match later. But catching up with Madrid's points difference will be very difficult for Barcelona if you look at Madrid's remaining matches this season.
Even if Barcelona manages to win and get 3 additional points in the next match, I also doubt they can catch up with the points difference with Madrid. Even though there is still a chance, it will be quite difficult to achieve unless Madrid is really unlucky and has to perform badly in the next few matches.
Their one problem now is that if Xavi can anticipate that then the chance to hold back and even win in El Clasico is possible.

If in this match they still cannot anticipate this, it could be a 4-1 massacre like in the final some time ago repeated again especially this is the Bernabeu which is quite haunted for several visiting clubs including for Barcelona.
Kick off is in a few hours and in terms of odds Madrid is still the favorite and I have no hesitation to burn my money on Madrid in this bet.

Ancelotti… He's a legend, yet he's reckless. This is El Clasico. You leave nothing to chance, especially with the lead. Barcelona's not blazing. No more Champions League and Copa del Rey. Their best opportunity is La Liga, therefore they'll battle hard. I, Ancelotti, and everyone in football know that. Lets be real, Real's got the upper hand. Both psychologically and form-wise, we won the Supercopa final and are playing at home. Momentum important, and savvy Ancelotti wont lose it. Me? I suggest going all-out. Keep those elite players and points tight. The triumph is important, but so is breaking their morale and maintaining that lead.
Carlo Ancelotti isn't unfamiliar with the current situation of Real Madrid so I expect him to draft out the best possible means of beating Barcelona tonight and increase his team's chances of winning the game which will automatically extend their points difference at the top of the league to eleven points. On Wednesday, he named his strongest squad against Manchester City in their UEFA Champions League quarter final game at the Etihad and for a game that lasted for 120 minutes, it's expected that some of the players of Real Madrid will be exhausted after the game.
Despite the amount of energy most of the players who played the full 120 minutes lost, I expect Carlo Ancelotti to still name a very strong squad against Barcelona tonight. Dani Carvajal and Aurelien Tchoumeni who are Real Madrid's regular starters didn't play that game at Manchester City because they were suspended and will definitely start tonight's game.

Rayo Vallecano managed to turn the game around with second-half goals in a game they trailed at half-time to earn 3 points. It was unlucky for them to fall behind in the first half, even though they increased the pressure from the start of the match and always had the ball in their possession. Vallecano managed to take full control of the ball and the game in the second half and managed to win with 2 goals in the last 10 minutes.

Ancelotti is not a careless person in applying his tactics and strategies to the Real Madrid team every season and this is still evident this season in the team he coaches. I even think that Barcelona's chances of getting a trophy in La Liga are slim because Barcelona is already eight points behind Real Madrid at the moment and today Real Madrid also has a chance to win to increase its number of points at the top of the standings. So it will make it more difficult for Barcelona to catch Real Madrid's points in the remaining matches at the end of this season.

Celta Vigo managed to get an important win at home. Celta Vigo, who are close to the relegation zone, did not find it easy to win against an out of form opponent. It was not an easy game for them because it was the visitors Las Palmas who had most of the possession. They also failed to take any points from this game, making it 8 weeks without a win. They were a team that had the potential to finish in the top 7, but their lack of wins in 8 weeks has pushed them down the table. They are not in the danger zone at the moment, but a few more points will allow them to finish the league without risking relegation.
