Meanwhile, when Real Madrid won the El Clasico match, their city rivals, Atletico, actually lost to Alaves. I didn't think that Atletico would be this easy to beat, especially with a score of 2-0, I think it's quite embarrassing. Atletico should have been able to reply to the goal or better yet turn things around but unfortunately Diego Simione's squad had to fall with this less than good result.
The match was very tough where there were a total of 8 yellow cards that had to be issued by the referee to each player from both teams. Of course Alaves will not allow Atletico to break into their goal and this result makes Alaves move away from the relegation zone and Atletico can only sit in a big position and will not be able to catch Girona.
Diego Simeone tries but he doesn't reach the standards of Carlo Ancelotti. Real Madrid headcoach, Carlo Ancelotti needs nothing but winning and lifting major titles with Real Madrid. He's been mute when it comes to directing his players during game play, he knows exactly what to do and have always remained calm with his team. I would Real Madrid have everything to win the UEFA Champions League after eliminating the defending champion. Real Madrid have been the best squad this season, they will continue to dominate their opponents and also have a higher odds of thrashing every single opponents.
While I do agree that Ancelotti is a far far better manager, one of the all time greatest manager of course, that still doesn't change the fact that Real Madrid has been complained about by every team.
I mean if it was just one or two, I would understand, and obviously every fan, every player, every manager, every staff, including Perez, all will say that teams are complaining because Real Madrid is good and they beat them, but the reality is that we have so many video proof that they got undeserving wins, and they can fool themselves if they want to, but we see the videos, we do not buy it. So that is why Simeone had no chance, for a team with such smaller budget compared to opponents, they are doing fine in general, even won a title a few years back.
