It depends on your definition of “cheap bitcoins”. In the long run, if you are selling bitcoins for a million dollars, it doesn’t matter whether you bought them at $4000 or $5000. I would suggest buy bitcoins periodically, at regular intervals, without worrying whether you are getting the best deal possible.

10K may be too much despite the amazing price hike that Bitcoin has experienced the past few months. In 2017 alone, the bitcoin price rose tremendously. With Bitcoin's extreme volatility, I think there's still a chance for the price to go down. Bitcoin's increasing popularity would affect the price and along with it, the various adoptions and news from different countries would create an impact on the price. With these kind of factors, its hard to speculate and predict the bitcoin price. If you can buy it now do so because the future is bright for Bitcoin and it is expected to be of high value in the upcoming years.

Well... I understood OP to mean 10k for next's year December (i.e December 2018). And it is quite possible that happens if Bitcoin gets more attention by the media and people in general. As for this December, I am not expecting much more than 5000 or so.

No such thing as a last chance for cheap as demand increases and supply is at a constant.

cheap is relative. I think a more correct way of saying it is "cheaper" coins than current market price for example. and it is true, with the Chinese FUD it was all the chance anybody needed to catch up to the flying rocket to the moon in case they missed the chance.
or it was a great chance for traders to refresh their funds and get some profit out or increase the amount of bitcoin they held by buying in the dip. and we may not see any more dips for a long time again.

You know you are just going to miss this chance if you will not buy because next year would be another year for you to regret and wishing that if only you bought it with no hesitations.

some of us don't have unlimited money, we have a paycheck that we use every month or week or whatever to buy bitcoin with a portion of it. when price rises you will be forced to buy at a higher price each month, week,... so when a dip like the previous days happens it is like the discount that you could never get in any other case. so yeah it was the last chance for now to buy cheaper coins before the bigger rise.

From my side I say bitcoin will see a drop up to $4000 or $3800 and not below that, same time I doubt that possibility for a 2x increase soon is low, the price may hover around $4200 to $4800 for short term and then increases. So bitcoin won't experience a big decline, this may be the time to buy bitcoin at cheap price.

Will they cost 10k by December 15-20k next year?

$10,000 (which is more than twice the price of bitcoin currently) by December might be quite a stretch, but it's very possible if bitcoin publicity and demand continues to rice steadily at the same time, without so much FUD(like the recent China ICO and exchange bans) affecting the prices. Of course bitcoin won't go straight up though, always expect dips and crashes to happen especially if the prices go up too high and too fast.

Considering bitcoin's hard cap on 21 million though, it's always a good time to invest in bitcoin, as at some time after a good certain number of years bitcoins being minted will go to a halt.

BTC is about to take a smashing in a week or so to $2.5k-$3k so yes, that will be the last time you have a last chance for cheap Bitcoins.

So if I have a good understanding about the inherent expansion in value because of the limited supply of bitcoin, and the fact that countries are using and even legalizing Bitcoin as it filters into more societies and exchanges, is it the last chance to buy cheap or at least affordable bitcoins?

Will they cost 10k by December 15-20k next year?

Or do we have more time to collect them at cheaper rates?

If you are not in a hurry, and are willing to hold until the end of next year, I think buying Bitcoin at around 4100-4200 is a bargain.

Expecting 20k is too much, IMO, but 8k is quite possible.

Not sure since it all speculation. What I'm sure is that the price of bitcoin today will be cheaper compared to its future prices i.e. maybe months or a year from now which will double its current price base. The thing is to buy and hold since bitcoin's development, popularity, and market is continually growing.

I dont think bitcoin price will double in 3 months.I think there is a lot of time to invest in bitcoin because its value will keep go up in the next 10 years .There is now way its price will keep decrease. Maybe next it will hit 10k but not this year

Its understand that its price will continue to increased. More good news are coming and as more countries and opening to cryptocurrency market, more appreciation to bitcoin price. Base on bitcoins Year to Year growth  i continue to grow at a bigger percentage. We should be very optimistic with it.

I think with any asset, which Bitcoin is currently, it will go up over time. It may not seem like it is going up during the dips or during the crashes, but if we take a long term stance and view its charts over months or several years, its growth is up and to the right. Bitcoin will always be cheap. When it is 10k it will be cheap. When it is 50k it will be cheap. It's all relative when compared to what it could potentially be. But 4k is cheaper than 10k.

I think this is a good time to buy and invest with bitcoin, the reason is, if we are browsing either on Google or on Youtube, we will find a lot of content about CryptoCurrency experts who are predicting Bitcoin price spikes this year. As predicted by ZeroHedge in early January 2017 ago. It turned out that since January to May, Bitcoin prices have gone up from $ 923 per coin to $ 2800 per coin. This means that Bitcoin prices go up by 300% more, Not until there, at the end of August bitcoin make the history because the price of 1 bitcoin is above $ 4700, if this happens again in the next year, then make sure investment the bitcoin is the best opportunity ever.
