I agree that some of them are FUD. China has more pressing problems right now with North Korea planning on launching a ballistic missile with a nuclear warhead.

The application of the ban will not happen until all the laws are studied and new laws created. The Chinese government cannot do anything for now.

My best guess is that the Chinese are afraid that the ICO influx is going to get out of hand, then collapse and have a large group of (young) people riot in the streets and be destabilizing in some regions of the country.

Quote from the news:
Russia should create its own alternative to Bitcoin and Ethereum because they are ?developed on foreign cryptography,? a senior politician has said.

Not sure why a country want its own crypto or any people want to use it, it just seems so conflicted. Maybe i am missing something?

Russian officials don't want to study the question about cryptocurrencies as far as they should. Stupid claims and statements sounds every now and then. They understands the power of crypto, but can't catch it, can't manipulate. So that's why they look like shaved bear attacked by bees.

All of them can ban ICOs but can they deter people from investing in ICOs? No. Many projects are already starting their projects in countries like singapore which ICO is legal.

I hope no other countries will follow from this banning of ICOs in Russia and china if this will happen it will greatly affect crypto market but as i can see no one can stop many investors to participate in ICO investments.

This is going to cause some short-term pain, but in the long-run this sort of shake-up will lead to better-quality projects.

I am confused with all these. where is the independence of cryptocurrency. I think this is all happening because some people are harming many people. So others are exposed to the negative effects of their actions. So far I have not seen the power together in eliminating Ico. So the existing Ico is Ico which has quality and project beneficial for many people.

Everyone just needs to calm down. They banned ICOS not cryptos. Everyone knew ICOs were becoming a problem. I swear  only being in cryptos for 6 months and EVERY day people think the sky is falling. Things are going to be alright. People that panicked yesterday already lost money with the rebounds today.

ICO is actually different from cryptocurrency.
Though ICO are organised with cryptocurrency, they are not the only use of them.
And the unregulated ICOs were a danger to uninformed investors.

But ICO create a new cryptocurrency. maybe they are banning ICO because the ICO have a very big risk because the funds collected are also large. and not all ICOs have permits in their country.

the government hate crypto for it will ruin their economy and they can't control any decentralized system so how in the world can they control ICO? these articles are paid.

#SWGT PRE-SALE IS LIVE
The current situation around the prohibition of ICO should not affect the market of crypto currency. This is an unjustified panic. Confirmation of this again a good increase in all digital coins in the price. Now, for example, bitcoin has a rate of 4,466 dollars, and another day or two ago it was at the level of 4200 dollars. Also, other coins are rising at a good rate.

Russian officials don't like things where is big money and they can't get it. May be they don't understand the nature of crypto and the real sence. But most likely they are nervous because they can't get taxes and fees. But there is one small detail at their statement - they prohibit only bitcoin trading, morons...

Russia as far as I know is one of the country who loved cryptos, and crypto has similar into bitcoin anyhow in terms of anonymity and decentralization only their differences was the level of their price value if I am not mistaken.

I am disappointed with this policy, China became a disease and spread it to other countries. Korea and Russia are big countries, this will be bad.
can only motivate everyone to remain calm and not panic.

the russian step is smart not like the china and korea they shut out from technological development.
this month will be a tough month for coins whose developers come from China, the price of their coins must go down considerably.

There is no surprise that China did it unwisely, Chinese government has been done a lot of unwise decision, not only on crypto currency.

FUD Philanthropist™
regulations are always good for the finance industry for long term growth and maturity...
and more important...
kill and filter out all these shitty scammers...
in a fast money era, you can not rely on the market self-correction, which would be big big bubble, and huge crisis at the end...and may even kill the whole cryptocurrency ecosystem

so hold the old coins, and wait for bitcoin $10,000

10000 for BTC, keep dreaming my fried ))

as of know we see that there are full correction on all exchanges and with killing those ICO scammers we will kill a quite big bunch on investors
which will lead us to that point that there would be a shortage of liquidity in the market and which will lead for deep price corrections for all altcoins first and then it will hit BTC, hell already did!

China, Russia, Korea - if Japan will join, then I'm affraid the corrections will be much more deep.

I think those countries that ban ICO should also ban kickstarter, this is also not regulated and a lot of products are just gimmick and not useful or not practical at all.

But I agreed that there are too many ICO scams recently, most of the projects stated will never completed.

Why do you think Kickstarter banned all crypto coin crap ?
Why do you think Paypal did too ?
China ?

You are greedy idiots ignoring blatant crooked fraud that pisses all over the ideology of crypto.

The ICO itself is as cam by design.. simply by how it works.

Russia is allowed but why should not private investors Huh .. investors of any party great influence for the success of ico

then the Chinese and Korean countries really prohibit ico, perhaps in both countries experiencing a money crisis due to the number of new coins.(my opinion)
