Hello, since bitcoin is on the bullish side again, I permit myself to read and research again about crypto (quite busy nowadays because of work and post-graduate study hence time is precious).  So far, bounty campaigns and air drops are lively again and I hear my friends getting big rewards recently.

I just want to ask what is the "new" or "hype" thing this time?  Last time was the introduction of NFT, what about this time?  Or are there any specific reason why Bitcoin is in the bull run right now? Is it because of the halving or the ETF?

Thanks in advance.

It seems your for the short term investing in bitcoin since your attracted  to the bull run and probably the recent news of bitcoin price brought you back to the forum.

I think you should avoid anything new for now especially if your not informed about them and you know the world of alts coin are full of shitty new projects that just pump and dump or are rug pulls.

The bull is usually caused by scarcity of bitcoin and high demand, ETF has contributed to bring about a higher demand for bitcoin since new investors are rushing in, most bitcoin holders are now well aware of the risk involved in storing there holdings in exchange wallets and are now wise enough to apply self custody over their wallets by using hardware wallets to store their holdings.

Is the halving good in Bitcoin?  What is the main benefit of it?

It becomes more expensive (2x) to mine Bitcoin (one gets half of the amount for same effort and electricity).

Many consider the price of Bitcoin as made of 2 components: the price of mining it and the speculation related extra.

Thank you! this is new information to me and a bit helpful I think.  What you said also is quite logical and not just pure speculation.  Since mining will become more expensive, it means that people will be discouraged to mine and miners will be lessened in numbers.  When this happened, bitcoin will be more scarce and may rise in quantity (given that it will not be oversold).  I think soon we will discover what will happen since halving will happen soon.

Bitcoin all the way because all these hyped projects and trends don’t last forever.
Where are the NFTs today in the global market?
They all tends to fade away after the hype and after the hyper get their money from them and left the coin completely because they are centralized. But Bitcoin has been on trend for long and will keep being on trend provided that cryptocurrency and digital currencies are still in existence.
AI projects and gaming projects are also gaining recognition this days, they will do well during this coming bull run.

I think there is this impression people do have concerning bitcoin without knowing that the best time to know and study more about bitcoin is during the bear season why because at then you could picked interest and start doing your investment but instead they prefer running away from the market to stay hidden when the market gains back its strength they seems show up their faces to start their investment possibly to come make quick profits before the market goes again them again. To me this is a wrong steps to follow with this method you won't get to know things you needed to because you aren't that active in the space and can make wrong decision and wrong investments, always learn to stick around the forum and get some group that regularly talks about latest happening.

Is the halving good in Bitcoin?  What is the main benefit of it?
Halving is the most anticipated by many people because it is an important event in blockchain. The price will also increase.
To be able to find out whether halving is good in Bitcoin, you need to read this article from investopedia -> What Is Bitcoin Halving? Definition, How It Works, Why It Matters.

ETFs are part of an inevitable decision by the SEC and ETFs are one of the causes of high demand which has the effect of increasing Bitcoin prices for now even though there are other factors that drive high demand in the market.

Is the halving good in Bitcoin?  What is the main benefit of it?  As I understand, A Bitcoin halving is about cutting the rate at which new bitcoins are released into circulation in half.  Does this mean that Bitcoin will become less volatile after the halving?

The halving process every 210000 blocks makes Bitcoin a deflationary asset with intrinsically limited supply. Other factors aside this should drive the value up as long as demand for coins doesn't drop in parallel. It's a key feature of Bitcoin contrary to usually inflationary fiat money. There's no minting of arbitrary amounts of coins with Bitcoin and therefore doesn't dilute the coins Bitcoiners hodl.

I see no obvious or direct connection between Bitcoin's halving and its volatility.

This is of course extremely simplified and there's more that affects Bitcoin's value.

If you're asking about if it's the halving as the new thing or hype this time, it's a no because every cycle there's always been the halving that we used to experience. But this time, it's true that it's with the Bitcoin Spot ETF. And as we move on, they're also counting about the potential approval of the same thing with Ethereum for which I don't think it will happen because it's unlikely gonna get an approval.

I don't understand what Bitcoin have to do with NFT and why a hype from would affect its price.
I think he's talking about the last bull run wherein there have been bunch of NFT projects that became hyped.

I don't understand what Bitcoin have to do with NFT and why a hype from would affect its price. IMO NFT hven't triggered any Bitcoin bull run. Nowadays the current bull run is mainly driven by the ETF FOMO afaik and the halving narrative. Most bulls and bears are waiting the halving event to take their profits or to place big short orders. Layer2 network and dApps using them is the current blockchain technology era but I don't think Bitcoin price has anything to do with that.

You see, no one expected the bitcoin price to surge so high before the halving that it increased by nearly 44% from the previous month and attempted to break the current ATH even before the most anticipated halving, which everyone believes or has been like that to always break the ATH after the halving, before the main bull run begins. There is no doubt that we are currently in the bull season, and Bitcoin's price is expected to rise.

With that said, we can't deny that the approval and introduction of bitcoin ETFs has had an impact on the recent bull market in bitcoin. When it was first approved by the SEC, many expected it to move the market immediately, but the effect is only now becoming apparent. This also explains how volatile the market can be. Right now, there’s nothing significant to hype, the market is just following its normal trend.

Bitcoin's volatility has never been a problem for long term Bitcoin investors, because judging from the past, Bitcoin is profitable in the long term, it is short term that is harder to predict/speculate. The halving process is quite simple, Bitcoins supply is halved, right now the supply is at 6.25 Bitcoins, meaning any miner who successfully mines a block earns this, now after the halving, the miner is going to earn 3.125, that reduces their reward and also the supply of new Bitcoins into the market.

Having said that, with a reduction in supply and with the same or greater demand, the price of Bitcoin is expected to go up.

There has been a lot of drama and changes which took plan in last few months and I would list down what went well for Bitcoin and the community and what didn't go well or caused problems.

Ordinals were pain in wrong place which pushed the transaction fee to sky high that's your transaction fee would be higher than your actual fund you wan to transfer, regulators targeting big CEXs like Binance and Poloniex and arrest of CZ which sent shock waves across the market but luckily Binance handled it really well and didn't allow it to impact the exchange, Bitcoin spot ETF approval and the rally of Bitcoin off late. It has been a lot in last few months and good thing is at the end we are all witnessing Bitcoin rally even before halving.

Simply put the long awaited anticipated halving is closer than anticipated and it's causing a certain noise in the market which has influenced the premature Bull run which is definitely going to be reverted a while just before the actual bull run , so basically there's nothing being hyped but the anticipation of individuals playing out with some panic buys and sell inducing what looks like a Bull run and until the overall ATH has been broken you can be sure that the main bull run still lays ahead but nevertheless taking advantage of the current situation can also be beneficial to everyone who does but then be careful to watch out for when there will be a slight bear before the halving so you can take profit and exit in time.

Never forget to always DYOR and as much as possible avoid FOMO so you don't loose to the market while others are profiting from it. This year have been characterized with so many Bitcoin related news especially the ETF so anticipate some more movements around but bullish and bearish.

The COPA vs CSW trial is something I don't consider as any news, since the truth is crystal clear

The truth was crystal clear from the beginning, but the fact nobody stepped up for real has allowed CSW bully a lot of honest people simply for being honest and bitcoin supporters.
The current trial, apart of being quite a show, it should (I hope!) mark the end all that mess.

Mining Bitcoin becomes less lucrative during the halving. The supply of Bitcoin reduces which will lead to a rise in the price. Bitcoin will not become less volatile after the halving because it will not stop it from becoming a speculative asset. The price might fall after the bull run which is called the bear season.

Well first reason is that etf approval it really did some good impact on bitcoin price prior to bitcoin halving. Many expect a dumo before or close to halving but instead it did pumped. So Im guessing that historical pattern will likely change. Id just hope it is mroe bullish than ever and we can expect a healthy movement from crypto projects.

It looks like the approval of Spot Bitcoin ETF altered the historical movement of the Bitcoin market. I have read some posts that also predicted that the price of Bitcoin will drop before we get to the bull run but we are still expecting the fall in price. This happening is an indication that Bitcoin is slightly unpredictable.

There are a lot of airdrops happening right now for sure I have some airdrops especially on Solana network around 50$-100$ depending on your accounts, I mean there are people who have multiple wallets as well that is able to receive multiple airdrops, Also because of the Bullrun there are as well a lot of new airdrops out there if you're just going to look.

Since its Bullrun, there are some things like ETF of course, which recently happened on Bitcoin now they are buying the rumor since it is already approved on the Bitcoin side, and most of the traders think as well that it is going to happen on ETH as well, that is why ETH is increasing its price, probably XRP as well for sure in the future they will buy the rumor.

Of course, we have the Bitcoin halving as well which is already near, I mean it is a pretty big hype in the market considering that the market already skyrocketed to 60k$ so might as well increase when the halving is near.

On NFTs, I dont have enough information since I dont do NFTs anymore but I see a lot of new launch projects on the NFT side with my friends most of them are gaming.

It's all about bitcoin and nothing more, bitcoin has been having a recent performance which are record breaking over a while since after the last high we had after the previous halving, i will not suggest that you take a look into any of the altcoins for considerations because as they were rising also the same time they are falling, but bitcoin has been able to always maintain its high each time it rises and avoid falling the way other altcoins do, so nothing for now than bitcoin as usual.

Exactly Bitcoin all they way, there is no match in which Bitcoin can be compare with any shiltcoin or altcoin their falling is not advisable for any to full invest but can have full trust on Bitcoin because it has pass some level of test in the bull run and halving.

This Bull season is going to be very impressive bitcoin is already too high even it has increased its value before the halving event there may be a correction after the halving event so we may get another good opportunity of buying to refill our bags aggressively. I am already 2.3x from my last buying which I have bought in the middle of last year.

Besides this bitcoin has many reasons, especially in this bull season which includes approvals of ETF and involvement of big institutation in it which make it more and more bullish. Many investors are very bullish in this bull season on Bitcoin. I was reading an analysis that mentioned Bitcoin can hit $200k in this bull season. DYOR! I am expecting the market nearly $45k after the correcter of the halving event it is just a rough prediction/idea because Bitcoin already has gained too much in its price. What do you guys think about the correction on the halving event? Must share your opinion over this I would love to know about it any guess of rough idea?

Bitcoin is bullish because its bullish season while the acceptance of ETF as influences it price to surge more even in the bull but the next big thing coming up for bitcoin is the halving next month though I'm still standing with my prediction of seeing a new ATH before halving.

Is the halving good in Bitcoin?  What is the main benefit of it?  As I understand, A Bitcoin halving is about cutting the rate at which new bitcoins are released into circulation in half.  Does this mean that Bitcoin will become less volatile after the halving? Bitcoin can't be stable since it was not created as such, people enjoy the volatility of bitcoin and that's the reason people can trade or HODL bitcoin since they know can make profits. Volatility does not really affect how people trust bitcoin but what affect people trust are market manipulators but thankfully bitcoin doesn't face this issue not like altcoins and this is among the key reason why Bitcoin ETF  was accepted by sec

Bitcoin halving occur in order to control demand and supply to have a state of balance, that is, as bitcoin supply reduces, demand increases and so is the price. This is done to fight against inflation and we can say Satoshi was not just a device but also an excellent economist.

PS. In the "what's new", it's not just the ETF and halving. I would add as kind of news the ordinals (kind of NFT on Bitcoin blockchain) and COPA vs CSW trial.
The COPA vs CSW trial is something I don't consider as any news, since the truth is crystal clear
