Why a user's gender is so important? I think Lauda replies you no matter what you use HE or SHE.

You can always use the name Lauda or try S/he.

Regards

Vod is obsessed with spreading misinformation and thinks that the blockchain can determine someone’s sex. Clearly the guy is a moron. More about his stupidity and lies here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/vod-is-a-liar-extortionist-get-him-out-of-dt-5136576

I don't understand the reason behind this obsession.

It makes me believe either vod has a crush on Lauda or maybe something else, I admire him followed him many times. He must have a good reason.

IIRC, Lauda once said to use "they", so I think we have to repect their request. Though, I may be wrong and confused something, because it was long time ago.
Speaking about other cases, when gender of user isn't specified or I don't know it, I usually use word "he". There is no secret that majority of this forum users is males.

Well, we need to do two out of three or try tarot Cheesy
I think this question will never be answered so I'll stick with LoyceV's suggestion which no matter how technically impossible could be is close to the undefined (50/50 politically incorrect chance) gender - cat 🙀

From now on I will refer to Lauda as a he unless he tells me otherwise.  Smiley

Theymos already told that Lauda is a Female.  Smiley

You reinstated Lauda, and you remain silent.

Man up and admit she does unspeakable deeds for you.

Damn, I'm found out. While personally training Lauda in the dark arts of forum moderation, we fell deeply in love. I couldn't bear to see her endure the torture of trust drama while doing unspeakable deeds for me, so I invented this complicated algorithm as an excuse to add her back in even though I could've just unilaterally added her to DT at any second. Truly, my cowardice knows no bounds.

The last digit of the hash can be 0-9 and a-z.  Numbering from 0-36 as follows:
Bitcoin block hashes use hex notation: 0-9 and a-f. But that doesn't matter for the result.

What's much more interesting, is that the result you got did all it could to show the obvious reality: Lauda is a cat!

If block hashes would allow a "t", it would have been there Tongue

Last character of the block hash, see Collectibles, they often use this for raffles.

I understand there are multiple reasons one would want to hide private details, but not knowing what to call a person bothers the hell out of me.  I just don't think of terms meaning both genders - I always want to post he or she.

Lauda's gender doesn't matter to me, but I want to pick one as long as everyone knows it's based on randomness and not fact.

Let's say the first bitcoin block on or after 20/04/08 00:00:00 - about 20 hours from now.

The first hash timestammp on ASpril 8, 2020 on https://blockchain.info will be used.

The last digit of the hash can be 0-9 and a-z.  Numbering from 0-36 as follows:
0..9 convert to int 0..9
a..z convert to int 10..36

An odd int on the last character of of the first hash means I'll refer to Lauda as female.   Even ints or zero I'll refer to Lauda as male.
