What was the previous batch price?  I see people saying 1500 USD and 1650 USD.  I know way back when they were 1300 USD but they increased the price a little.  Anyone have estimate on tonight's price?

I asked my bank whether they could do a USD->USD transfer, and they insisted the bank on the other side would force a currency exchange.  While I think they're wrong about that, it's also pretty obvious that I shouldn't be trusting them to move my money that way.  Too much risk.

I had hoped to have litecoin by now, but there were delays moving money around and it looks like I'm just going to miss tonight's sale outright. Sad  I was going to buy local, but now I might as well go back to trying to figure out which exchange I can ACH deposit into and get litecoin out in a reasonable time based on their limits.  I got a headache last time I was trying to compare fees and withdrawal limits.  If anyone can recommend a good option on those two criteria (get in at low % fee and get out fast so I can actually spend it when the next batch comes up), I'd be grateful.  And thanks already for everyone's helpfulness. I've had excellent luck with Coin base. Coin base gets ripped a lot but they are the most expedient and flexible when it comes to USD to BTC, ETH, LTC. You also get access to their exchange GDAX which is highly liquid and transfers are a breeze. Also you can take advantage of the "Maker or Taker" option. If you work orders until filled on the Bid/Ask in the exchange your trade is free.

I second that!  Coinbase is great.  I've been using their wallet for years and have never had a single issue with them.  Highly recommended.

I dismissed coinbase at first because I was seeing super low buy limits.  GDAX is pretty ambiguous about what you can deposit by ach, but I'll give a shot.  Thank you both Smiley
Yes my biggest hurdle was the length of time they require to raise various limits. It's very obnoxious. Once I got past their wait times it got much better. I also don't leave larger balances in their wallets.....DUH!

FYI - New Batch release tomorrow, 11am 31/08 +8gmt

Where did you get this info (newbie and all ?) nothing on twitter or the bitmain main page

just trying to verify you understand..not a slam Smiley

I think Bitmain gives people a heads up before they post on twitter if they're replying back to a support ticket.

That's what another newbie said when he gave us a heads up a few hours before that last "2 hour notice" batch of L3+'s came out.

Confirmed. There's a batch for sale starting tomorrow @ 11AM Bitmain time.

thanks that is 10 am CST in the USA I believe... (correct me if I'm wrong)

Still waiting for my Aug-Sept order to get marked shipped!!  Get them here and then off to the COLO!!!

Same with mine, still unshipped. Has anyone got their orders marked as shipped?

I ordered two from the Aug-Sept batch, they were marked as shipped today, and they'll be delivered tomorrow. I'll be selling them so I'll have the funds to setup my mining operation before my big order from the mid-October batch gets here, PM if anyone is interested.
What date was the order placed?  The website says FIFO.  Mine were ordered 6/14 and 6/16

Ordered mine 2017-06-09 and got status "Shipping" today, so it's all progressing nicely.

Clueless!
My last order paid by wire was returned after a week and Bitmain would not accept any other choice for payment so ended up paying for transfer both ways also and no products ordered. I did the wire on a Friday and I think after so many days if they don't accept it it gets returned or there may be some extra fee you have to pay not sure, I used Wells Fargo. I was a little bummed out but from now on I'm only paying with BTC or LTC.

imho use LTC cause they only give you 1 hour.....just in case I'd convert to that for speed.....

other than that if you have to use wire xfer find a small mainly commercial bank that does overseas business etc....the main banks like tcf/wells fargo etc ..all have some univ girl
doing your wire xfer...they lost my wire xfer for a month on an asic order..luckily knc in 2014 dealt with me

the commercial bank was in hysterics that TCF bank could not get a wire xfer to work

i guess this is why they have comercial banks

I read some pages back someone having trouble with their bank being unwilling to send the wire transfer (the poster was asking whether bitmain would allow a change to crypto payments after initially selecting wire transfer).

Is anyone willing to share their experiences paying by wire?  Any questions I could specifically ask my bank in advance to know whether there will be problems?  I've written down the bank name from last week's listing to ask my bank about.  Bitmain wants USD, so I need to make sure my bank won't force a currency exchange (I think that's how some of them make their money on these).  Anything else to watch out for?  Thanks in advance Smiley

Based on earlier comments in this thread (I'm reading through the entire thing, though I'm not quite half finished at the moment), I plan to hire someone to put in 240v outlets.  I haven't yet decided what type of plug to use, or how many outlets to wire.  Assuming amperage is dealt with, what type of outlet and what ratio of outlets to PSUs do you recommend?

This is just me, but I think my way of doing this makes sense.  I figured out what PDU (Power Distribution Unit) I wanted to go with, and I am having my outlet done to match it.   I'm going with a NEMA L6-30P twist lock plug outlet for a Cyberpower PDU30BHVT8R, which will give me 8 outlets, and 30 Amps at 200/230.

That was very helpful, thank you Smiley

whats colo ?

Colocation service.   You send your machine to them, and they host for you, but you control the machine. (If I am correct.  Still learning)
