Important guys.
Who has purchased a miner in European Union? Has anyone cleared customs himself without a customs agents? The gang of import agents and couriers keep telling me that I can't do the procedure myself for items that expensive. I can't find any ference of that on the internet.
It is pretty simple, when you have all the necessary information that Fedex for example should give you.
You can ask Bitmain or who ever you are buying from the customs TARIC code.
See your country's customs' web page for more info.

I've had easy time so far using Finnish Customs' e-services. https://tulli.fi/en/e-services

Thank you for the reply

I know the TARIC and Bitmain provided me with the invoice with seal and signature and everything. But I'm trying to avoid the broker fees fedex is charging me to clear it. 60% of the item price. For the PSU alone worth 100euro they charge me 140euro lol.
Greece is a 3rd world country mate unfortunately. We don't have a customs webpage. But EU rules should still apply. If in EU you can clear it yourself no matter the worth you should be able to do it here too and they're trying to scam me telling me I can't.

15GH/s ? that's 15,000MH/s , i dont think it's realistic.

If anyone knows , let me know

Thanks

Here's the link to the D3 on bitmain https://shop.bitmain.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020170718203947438V537cuy7067F

i was thinking to order more and then saw this...  Shocked brutal.. if next batch delivery is in Nov, fuck it i'll just diversify into something else.. we haven't seen the effect of August batch yet. Also bw.com must be dumping boatload of bw-l21 miners hence bitmain is rushing to sell their stock.

BW is not delivering right now. Next batch is going to be in october, with a model over 950MH.  But from my understanding, it will have around 1.7w/MH (while L3+ is at 1.6/MH) not a big difference to more L3+

Clueless!
I agree. Bitmain should halt sales of L3+ until november, lower the price of L3+ and in the meantime work on a better model making double the mh/s for the beginning of the year..

My view is (hope I am dead wrong) is they are trying to completely take over the LTC network and be the main hardware folk like they have for bitcoin network.

Over 85-90%

If you look at the BTC network as an example they drove the price down on an S9 by kicking them out like toasters in Jan or Feb of this year (if I remember correctly) to

something like a 12-14month ROI with electric/hosting etc

Thus if they do the same to the LTC network my 6,000 mh of scrypt pow mining will make the same money as my 3000mh did in Jan and Feb at 4.15 a coin (10 miners plus)
or about 1,500 bucks a month or say 150 a month for 1 L3+...by December 2017

thus my view is they are going to continue to do this till they are back with the L3+ product and the LTC network under their thumb like the BTC network

ie shooting out the product like toasters

I'd bet, (if I had any balls) they are also working on an X11 miner to do the same with that network

by doing this they make it almost impossible for another asic maker to come in to btc and ltc and compete against them in mass amounts

bitmain (evil works) (tm bitmain)

Again, I've been in this since Fall 2013 and MOST ASIC makers would have a month or two lag between batches to 'mine at a flat difficulty rate at their own data halls) then
rinse/wash/repeat

bitmain is playing a LONG GAME and making it very, very unattractive to compete...and this is reflected in how they toss their weight about on the bitcoin scaling issue

as an example...I agree it is very frustrating....but seems to me they will likely do quite well, kicking their profits down the road on the data hall and putting equip

out like toasters.....you'd be mad (again imho) to design and make an ASIC machine to compete against them ...better uses of you millions of $$$ in Venture Capital

$$$...seems to me they have LTC network pretty much locked up

again this is my view (I likely don't know squat) but what it looks like their play on this is to me

It would be just great...if we had a stall out on equip till around November thou......I wish.....Just don't think it will be so Sad

I generally mine with the thought as if im collecting coins. If i could mine 100 LTC a month, and that would drop to 89 LTC the next month, it is kind of fine by me. It is still money made. And if i hold and hoping for LTC to go over 100$ next year, it's a cool thing. I guess the thing is to take the most of what these L3+ can do until they aren't profitable at all. Because they also chew electric... at 800w a piece.

If someone had a single L3+ now, that person would mine 24 LTC a month , and would make a 1035$us profit per month ( net profit )

In October, with a difficulty at 700k , he will mine around 10.8 LTC , with profits of 418$us.

The july batch is being delivered now. Thus the increase. I think everything will stabilize from beginning till mid August, and then towards the end of August, difficulty will go up again because of the August batch...

I personally think LTC mining will die as we approach November. And Bitmain will have to come up with 2000mh/s machines or something.
Or they could sell less and control in a better way mining, just like Baikal does with Dash...

But each company has its own strategy.

I don't think there will be stability in difficulty. There was a super tiny late Apr batch, May batch, then trickles of Hashnest batches.
If you were watching the sales, the batches were tranched out starting mid-july and 2-3 tranches per month all the way through the end of Sept. I counted 8 waves that equal the size of May batch. That's about 50k difficulty per wave. Or 400k through the end of sept added to current 307k for > 700k by Oct 1. Sales won't slow down because people are looking at current profitability, but ordering 3 months out. By the time people wake up in Nov, batches will be delivered through Jan further escalating the difficulty. The only thing that can balance out the equation is $100 LTC in Oct and $150 in Jan.

About custom clearances in Europe and more specifically the EU. I'm located in Greece. Assholes in FedEx are trying to force me their own customs agent with extreme high charges. They sent me an invoice for ~600 euro for items worth 1360dollars!! 60%!!!
When I told them I'll clear it myself they told me I can't because the item's worth is too high. I call BS. You can import cars ffs. I've seen people here from all over Europe that cleared customs themselves. All EU has the same rules and laws.
Now I have to pay them a visit myself to kick their asses. Nah I won't do that. Heh.

Bitmain should no list any L3+ for sale until late november. if they list more L3+ for October , noone will buy. Already the september batch took longer to sell out... Because people realize that when a greedy company like Bitmain floods the market with these machines, it will not be worth mining after september.
It's simple. Baikal has its 300mhs 150mhs and 900mhs all sold out. People are battling to get one on ebay auctions etc... The difficulty is stable...
Anyway, i can't change the company's policy on how they sell. It is a shame though, because they could've made more cash on the long term. More than what they already do...

Unless another company comes out with another miner and bitmain would have lost out slow rolling their machines.  Its a race and always will be.  A race to sell them and a race to buy them.
