I just got this L3+ and what can I say?

My 8 card 1070 rig blows this thing away, and costs about the same and consumes about the same amount of energy.  I am UNDER 800 watts.
The Lyrza2 algorithm for ZCOIN consumes less electricity than the other algos.

I am only making max $20.00 a day on the L3+.
I am making over $100.00 a DAY on my Nvidia GPU rig mining ZCOIN ( now over $100 each coin, I mine about 1 coin a day )

What is the big hoopla regarding ASICS< they suck, and I got suckered with D3, and now L3+, oh well....
I make way more than an S9 also, plus I get paid in Bitcoin, so I still do not see the point of an asic?

Time to build more GPU mining rigs Smiley

Would you mind sharing your setup and what you pay for a 1070?

I built this rig over 6 months ago.
You can find the parts on Amazon and just build it yourself following this video:

Great video. I am going to watch it fully once I have time. But it is already looking like so much work to get it build Cheesy

I fiddled around with GPU mining rigs in 2013. It was a real pita, ongoing tuning, changing and tinkering, including smoking or exploding graphic cards, PSUs and mainboards.

As the ASICs came up I switched and, except for the early generations, its more or less plug and play and forget now. Plus smoke and explosions are much rarer  Cheesy

I was just speaking with someone who purchased 29 of the 1st March 2018 batch L3+ and he received $500 coupons for each one. Anyone else get these coupons? I'm curious as to why some people got them when others did not for purchasing from the same batch.

I realized that Bitmain changed the price twice on the first March batch. They gave out coupons to those who purchased at the higher prices in accordance to how much more they paid. I suppose that would make up for the price spike if you already intended on ordering more in the future.

How are these? I've read some horrible reviews on these on here. Are any of them true? https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/bitmain/antminer-l3plus/

ROI is pretty high, they only generate $20/day revenue at best, burning 800 watts in the process.  A 6 GPU (GTX1070ti) using the same wattage generates $50-$60 for me using NemosMiner.  The RIG costs $3500, but ROI is far less than my L3+ miners.

So you generate about $600 a month? How long has it been running?

A Month, currently building 12 more rigs

Would you mind sharing your setup Cheesy I am not into GPU mining because its to much work and I ride the asics since years with no problems but still curious Cheesy

I think the only stuff built to withstand miner requirements are dryer & electric oven power lines. 220v lines. They have thicker gauge wires and more amps on circuit breaker.

How many ltc can you mine in a month on one of these?

LTC
Daily Yield: ≈0.00014 LTC Per MH/s

So if running stock clock, you will yield 2.1252 LTC/month (at current difficulty)
If running higher frequency for 565MH you will yield 2.373 LTC/month (at current difficulty)

At current market rate you at looking at $654/month if mining LTC.

I'm currently mining DigiByte Scrypt instead, its a little more profitable right now but that could change at any moment.

Try going to advanced in the Miner interface and change frequency to 431M, you will get 566 MH/s and keep your low temperatures

I'm mining at www.multipool.us with my L3+ units for DigiByte Scrypt, more profitable than mining LTC right now

Yes but increasing the hashrate will void warranty. Just to keep that in mind.  I assume the 24-hours is the ave

L3+ was designed and allowed by factory to be overclocked.  Just don't go crazy if temperatures are high (warmer months) and you will be fine.  10% is a very safe overclock

Clueless!
I got off of Verge for now...hard to mine if your desktop wallet for virge says date undefined after 2 days on the 2 verge in it

(with another 256 heading that way) so I pulled the plug mining the stuff....the paper wallet does not show an address after coin

after 2 days the bitcoin-qt shows no verge 1 coin nor in the prohasing verge explorer search for last 3 days either

thus punting...I might be mining air if their network is that dorked

looks like it is tanking anyway...I wonder how long it will take me for my desktop wallet to synch up 1 week? 1 month?

still, no idea what 'date undefined' means under the 2 coin so far that showed up on the desktop wallet for verge electrim 2.41 (spelling?)

I assume it means it has not synched after 2 days yet
