I did better than just downloading the client. I was able to clone and build Lebowskis-Qt sources for Mac OS X 10.8. I forked your repo and put my changes on a branch 'mac' https://github.com/CaptEmulation/coins. Some of the changes need some work to be pull requestable, but I'll see what I can do.
Using minerd, with -t 4 on an 8 core i7 MBP (for thermal safety)-- I was able to solo mine 99.95 LBW in about six hours. But that won't stop me from asking for a hand-out:
