Yesterday, there was the match between Trinbago Knight Riders and St Lucia Kings, that has won by St Lucia Kings as St Lucia Kings batted first and gave very good target in which Johnson Charles has a very important role, his 89 score helped his team very much to win this game with the lead and with the great run rate. Trinbago Knight Riders couldn't even reach to 150 and lost the game, what a good performance by St Lucia Kings. They are also leading the point table as well, they have very good results in the last matches too. They have 14 points.
I don't understand this match whether Mali lost this match on purpose or they were under a lot of pressure. Their batsmen had an innings of 20 overs but their batsmen have scored only 18 runs in 13 overs which is unacceptable. And Tanzania has a very easy win in this match. Their bowler play very well and won the match. And the Tanzanian batsmen won the match by achieve this target in 5 balls. I will give the real credit for this win to their bowler and also congratulate them. The Mali team play very wrong and they should be ashamed of themselves I think there is any team that has given such a target in the 20 over innings.
There is nothing to be ashamed of. Mali is relatively new to cricket, while Tanzania has been around for a while. And also, Mali is mainly comprised of native players, while Tanzania has expats comprising half of their squad. Also, don't forget the fact that this tournament is being hosted by Tanzania and therefore they have the home advantage. And it is not really surprising to see Tanzania currently leading the points table with 3 wins from 3 matches (while Mali is yet to win any of their matches).
2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa have started with the Sub-regional Qualifier A. 6 teams are taking part in this competition - Cameroon, Ghana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mali and Tanzania. Saint Lucia Kings faced off against Barbados Royals in the 22nd 24th match of the Caribbean Premier League 2024. Unfortunately, Barbados Royals lost both these matches. GAW team played well in last match and we saw bad start from the side of GAW team but after that we watched Moen Ali who changed the side of match and he made competitive score in this match. I guess it was the bowling effort from Guyana Amazon Warriors that let them win this match. Their batting was just ordinary as they only managed 137 runs in 20 overs. It was Moeen Ali who made 42 runs and that helped the team reach the score over 100 runs, otherwise, they were finding it hard to cross even a 100 in their innings.
